    Celeb Deaths

Was surprised by this one, very young really!
  2. No real surprises apart from the omission of jack and inclusion of smith! Hope he steps up to the plate this season, definitely has the potential. Aberdeen: Ward, Logan, Taylor, Quinn, Considine, Shinnie, McLean, Flood, Hayes, Smith, Rooney. Subs: Brown, McGinn, Robson, Pawlett, Goodwillie, Jack, Wright.
  3. Agree with TC, last season was the season we would have won the title if at all. We bottled it against the dhims which is where the league was effectively lost. They have obviously strengthened, as have we but it is all proportional. Hearts, as happy as I am to see them back as it's one of my favourite away days, are a bogey team. Doesn't matter how push they are, we usually bottle it at the pink cow shed. We'll do fantastically well to get a points tally anywhere near last season, but I think a cemented second place with a cup win and at least a semi in the other, i'll be more than pleased. We do need to strengthen, centre mid and striker for me. I don't doubt DM knows who he wants, but it may be a sliding scale in terms of what is available depending on our Euro endeavours. I would definitely prefer to keep Shinnie in the position we need him, it's a joy to have two full backs!
  4. Ooft, Killie 0 - Dundee 4. Greg Stewart with a a couple of decent goals apparently. Killie signed rejects from Sevco, can't see them doing much this season. Dundee have made some shrewd moves over the course of the summer so should make top 6 no bother. Seems like my question marks over Caley are correct, certainly for today at least. Not a shot on target today against Motherwell.
  5. Even Delia pretty much admitted he should have been off. Same old gollum. Motherwell up at Caley. I cant see caley doing as well as they did last season.
  6. I think they're a bit of an unknown quantity to be honest. Don't think we'll win 3-0, but I still think we'll have enough to win. Its a true test of the squad imo. Seeing how they can cope with Europe and league fixtures.
  7. Bit in bold especially. You can tell her really communicates with the defence in front of him. He seems to collect most crosses that come into his area. A noticeable difference from last season, well especially with langfield is that the defence are happy to pass it back to him.
  8. Well, dhims up 1-0 already...Griffiths penalty in the 4th min...
  9. Saw them at glasto after years of wanting to. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Enjoy!
  10. First game of the season, almost feels like it's gone under the radar given our European adventure (so far). both teams have strengthened over the summer and will think they can win it. We certainly should do anyway. Glad to see we've got a solid backing as we usually do! Stats for games a Tannadump are pretty even, although they do shade it slightly. Arabs 35 35.35 % Dons 33 33.33 % Draws 31 31.31 % In / out: Out Pre Matcher: 100 mile cycle race Match: hopefully finished in one piece! Post matcher: Pub Prediction: 1-2 Dons, McGinn and Rooney
  11. I really hope they don't sell him to the blue meanies (not because I rate him but because I don't think they should give in to Ned power). Always thought McGinn was decent enough.
  12. After a shaky start, which I would say is fair enough given he is young and being thrown right into the deep end, I think he's starting to show what he is capable of. Don't think he could do much about the two goals yesterday, one was clinical and the other was a peach of a strike. Defence let him down at those points. Made a very good save towards the end to make sure it stayed 2-1. Also seems comfortable with the ball at his feet. Keep it up!
  13. I could pretty much copy and paste this from the previous post. First 1/2 and first 20 mins in particular we were way too deep and let them score two goals. Lucky to not be further behind but seemed relatively composed with our distribution and passed out the back a few times.
  14. Would be nice to see a striker add their name to that list after the weekend and next weeks tie. Although it does highlight the fact that we were incredibly reliant on Rooney for goals last season and him not playing at the moment. However, I'm certainly not criticising Goodwillies efforts thus far. Hayes should have scored again last night.
  15. She's away for the next two weeks Agree tlg, he definitely gives us something else. Hopefully their top goalscorer won't be back next week either.
  16. Goals: http://www.footballhighlights247.com/k-almaty-aberdeen-goals-and-highlights.2844vs1060.html
  17. I'd agree with that, more so in the first half. Could we have a penalty towards the end? I didn't manage to watch the replay. Looking at getting flights up for this now , just depends on my work.
  18. I'll take that. 2-1 away from home and that all important away goal. Team responded well and can take heart from that. Packed house and a cheeky 1-0 win at home and all will be good Also, McLean's strike was a peach. Hopefully this is just the start for him!
  19. Out Meeting Meeting Flat 1-1, Goodwillie pen Team news: Ward, Logan, Shinnie, Considine, Taylor, McGinn, Hayes, Pawlett, Goodwillie, Quinn, Jack subs: Brown, McLean, Robson, Rooney Storie, Smith & Wright Edit: Scotfree just beat me too it Let's fire into these Kazakhs! :ultras:
  20. This would be quite handy if true....
  21. Shhhh i've been trying to think about anything but a positive result. It's hard not to though, just dont' know what to make of this team. I know they rested a fair few on the weekend when they won 3-1, but we've got a good team ourselves and a brilliant team spirit. My Premier Sports package won't allow my sky no. for some reason so I won't be able to record it It'll be hard to argue against the same line up as the previous game.
  22. Having a wee bit of a signing spree down there are they not? Fair play to hibs, why make your direct rivals for the league stronger. I'm sure the Arabs will sell him to der sevconians the following season.
  23. Welcome.aboard! Always good to see new faces signing up
  24. Donstalk have arrived early!
  25. I thought he was actually a failure down here anyway was he not? Not saying that that's not a reason not to go for him and the clubs he was involved with were of a decent standard. But didn't do much else. so i wouldn't be bothered if it was just forum chat. As tlg says, we've got better at the club.
