  1. Also, Man Utd sign this french kid for £44 million! a lot of money for an untried and unproven player. Granted he's been called up to the senior squad recently but it's a hell of a risk!
  2. Well the Dhims are completing the Christie signing with him being loaned back out and it sounds like Islam Feruz is heading to the Hivees on loan from Chelski. Interesting signing (the latter).
  3. May is joining Preston according to a lot of folk on Twitter. Thanks ED for the tip off! I imagine the £2million that Wednesday wanted for him has put us off.
  4. I see Brown had an injury scare on the weekend, hopefully he recovers and then gets fucked in the last minute against Germany
  5. Passed away in Canada today. Can't say I know much about him, certainly way before my time! MBT / BigAl mind much about him? I know he was part of one of the best dons sides ever, the championship winning side of 54/55. Apparently influenced football considerably in Canada too.
  6. Our central belt fans have always made sure we get decent away attendances, even during the lean years. Sounds like both local and external fans are waking up again!
  7. Sign of the times, everyone wants to come and see the dandies ! Let's hope the last tickets are shifted soon!
  8. Fantastic away attendance. Red TV said that there were 1000 walk ups, great to see!
  9. Definitely need to sign a striker. Doesn't look like goodwillie is going to score ever again.
  10. Hibernian will make a last-ditch attempt to sign striker Stevie May on loan from Sheffield Wednesday if the former St Johnstone forward's move to Nottingham Forest stalls. (Sun)
  11. Topcorner made a suggestion the other day that we might see Logan go on more breaks down south, rather than him actually leaving with this new RB getting a few more games than he normally would. Would be absolutely gutted to see Logan go, one of my favourite players and his calmness in one on one situations is outstanding. He's definitely not been his best so far this season and I'd pit it solely down to his newborn. If he has to / wants to go, it would probably be for the best
  12. Love Rich Hall, had the pleasure of meeting him one festival a few years back in Edinburgh, was pleased that he was as dry in real life as he was on TV. Will check this out!
  13. Surely he'll get fined by the SFA for bad mouthing the officials, as much as I agree with him. Haven't seen it, but it doesn't sounds like canning disagrees with him
  14. Happy days, 2-0 and hearts dropping points. Brilliant Saturday! Shame the international break exists though...we're just building up some momentum
  15. It's not financial that drives this, it's sporting stadia and building regulations. I doubt we'd be having this conversation if those flats weren't built next to Pittodrie. The very fact they have been built means there are a whole raft of other issues you have to comply with.
  16. It really does, but it's still fucking annoying they keep going and stealing anyone that is remotely any good. It'd be embarrassed if I was a dhim.
  17. Dhims have made a £500k bid for Christie with a view to loaning him back for the rest of the season. Not a signing they need to make I would have thought?
  18. Wasn't the one I was referring to Tom, but you're still correct
  19. As Tom says, there are a number of regulations that would prevent straight forward redevelopment. We have to remember that the reason a lot of clubs go out of town is due to space requirements. Not saying it's not possible as most things can be worked one way or another, but i'd agree with starting with the Merkland incorporating Section Y as a starter. Though I'd be very sad to see this being covered. Easily the most amusing place to watch a game at Pittodrie. Any development would have to be phased, could see 1/2 the south stand being developed at a time. Tom's sketch was quite radical and would certainly like to think it could be considered, whilst rotating the pitch would mean we couldn't use Pittodrie during the initial construction, it could potentially work. SPFL being kind of course!
  20. Doesn't look bad at all to be honest, kept quite a few of the original features too. thought there is a handrail missing in one of the images https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/news/local/new-era-for-old-pool/
  21. Would be amazing to see that! Central belt fans have always formed a large core of our away support. Pawlett and Flood both back in contention for tomorrow. How do we see ourselves lining up?
  22. Bump, still plenty of points to go for
  23. Brilliantly hilarious piece by Frankie Boyle on the Labour party: http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/aug/27/how-will-labour-top-losing-the-election-by-losing-its-own-leadership-contest?CMP=fb_gu
  24. Aye, I can see it being the huns, they've got to replace one long haired bastard with another.
  25. Will never happen, but he's exactly the kind of player we need.
