  1. Dhims have made a £500k bid for Christie with a view to loaning him back for the rest of the season. Not a signing they need to make I would have thought?
  2. Wasn't the one I was referring to Tom, but you're still correct
  3. As Tom says, there are a number of regulations that would prevent straight forward redevelopment. We have to remember that the reason a lot of clubs go out of town is due to space requirements. Not saying it's not possible as most things can be worked one way or another, but i'd agree with starting with the Merkland incorporating Section Y as a starter. Though I'd be very sad to see this being covered. Easily the most amusing place to watch a game at Pittodrie. Any development would have to be phased, could see 1/2 the south stand being developed at a time. Tom's sketch was quite radical and would certainly like to think it could be considered, whilst rotating the pitch would mean we couldn't use Pittodrie during the initial construction, it could potentially work. SPFL being kind of course!
  4. Doesn't look bad at all to be honest, kept quite a few of the original features too. thought there is a handrail missing in one of the images https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/news/local/new-era-for-old-pool/
  5. Would be amazing to see that! Central belt fans have always formed a large core of our away support. Pawlett and Flood both back in contention for tomorrow. How do we see ourselves lining up?
  6. Bump, still plenty of points to go for
  7. Brilliantly hilarious piece by Frankie Boyle on the Labour party: http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/aug/27/how-will-labour-top-losing-the-election-by-losing-its-own-leadership-contest?CMP=fb_gu
  8. Aye, I can see it being the huns, they've got to replace one long haired bastard with another.
  9. Will never happen, but he's exactly the kind of player we need.
  10. Last season, i'd have agreed with you, not so certain this year. Here's hoping they do!
  11. Wigan accept United's offer £200K for McKay. A striker i wouldn't have minded at Pittodrie http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34074171
  12. The way I see it is , we were promised certain things by the chairman, over and over again. What year of the five year plan are we on? Now don't get me wrong, going debt free is massive, words cannot express how impressed I am with that and has certainly bought the board time. But the fact remains, we have no training facilities, we have a stadium which either needs serious investment or replacing. I have no doubts that the club are working in the background, but a wee bit of an update wouldn't go a miss. I'd hope that a feasibility study has already or is in the process of being carried out. Its clear that we are not moving anywhere anytime soon . The support has been galvanised by the performance on the pitch, noe to see it through off it.
  13. Precisely. I want to progress as far as possible with the least amount of effort. Although, I did laugh that you chose all the teams close to Edinburgh
  14. Some decent scores there in the league cups, both north and south of the border. Brilliant result in the chumps league play off, keeps them distracted in Europe but denies them the amount of money they would have had from the Champs league group stages
  15.
  16. Haha, thanks Rocket! Thankfully, she knows the score with the Dons, i set that law down straight away
  17. Thanks for the faith ; I know, I'm doomed
  18. 3 points are definitely the most important thing here, although I would like to see a bit of attacking momentum going into the break / pigs game. Out Moving flat Listening to the game whilst trying not to fall out with the mrs putting furniture together! Unpacking 2-0 Dons, McGinn and Rooney
  19. Hearts game (home end) is already a sell out http://www.heartsfc.co.uk/news/4559 Sounds like tickets for Supporters Clubs will be at a premium too!
  20. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rodney-sneijder-set-rip-up-6316355 Proof, if there ever was any needed that Dundee is a shit hole
  21. I genuinely wonder how much of this is media shit stirring. No-one would be stupid enough to pay that for him, even if I do think United's transfer "policy" if it exists any more is flawed. You must be pleased Ballotelli looks to be on his way out, passed his medical at Milan today.
  22. It is rare, but I definitely agree with Rocket on this one. We are close, we're not talking about breaking the bank here but a couple of shrewd signings that could take us to the next level. More Shinnie / McLean type signings are required. Celtic are miles ahead, but they are there to be taken and squad rotation can have it's draw backs. We've already made good progress in terms of our domestic start following Europe compared to last season but the season is still very young. Need to keep the momentum up and our squad is incredibly thin. Unfortunately I also think that given that we are only recently debt free, the directors may be a bit cautious on expanding our budget.
  23. Tom, did you manage to upload any pics of your proposal? Or keeping your cards close to your chest?
  24. Latest ByTheMin podcast. Was a decent listen after the Well game. https://soundcloud.com/bytheminsport/btm-aberdeen-podcast-6
  25. Im still amazed Greer and Hanley get games. Horrible excuses for defenders. Even Topcorner could do better jobs than them!
