  1. The amount of people that seem incapable of working this out is beyond me. Imagine the outcry if folk were made to pay upfront?!? It's a good scheme, whilst I can't afford to do it at the moment, I hope to at some point in the future. Hopefully we'll reap the rewards over the next couple of years.
  2. Indeed, jenever was the original gin. When you're in Amsterdam next, check out the jenever bar next door to the old Nicol (near centraal station). Folk need to remember not to mix it though, more like a whisky in how it's imbibed .

    Films

Black Panther - really good film and perfect action film for a Friday night. Although some of the accents (forrest whittaker in particular) were pretty suspect.
  4. I don't think folk should look at the Burnley games as a barometer for this team. They were essentially two cup finals and they always take care of themselves. The real performance level of this team appears to be what we've seen thus far. The issues we've all known for some time (DM knows these too) are there for all to see, striker (lack of) creativity (lack of) he tried to address these, albeit poorly. Disappointing to hear that Shinnie's performance levels seem to be dropping. Hopefully once we get the team fully fit we'll see a marked change, certainly too soon to panic, but it's not looking great.
  5. Good thread, love history as it's absolutely fascinating, obviously varies from which side is telling it but still interests me. Been learning a lot about Cook at the moment, anniversary year next year in NZ so hope to contribute to this thread
  6. Good on Helen Mirren getting a draw last night
  7. Never understood why they haven't done it on red TV intl for every game. It's not like we don't pay for it. Hopefully the reds get the result today!
  8. If they don't get their act together after this, the games. A bogey. It's actually making supporting a non Glasgow based team, pointless. I'll happily accept the national team being shite, but the sfa are making an absolute shit house of the club game too.
  9. Agreed
  10. Always a tough and Horrific watch. Can't see us winning this one and sods law will have it that watt will score against us. Out Bed Bed Bed 1-0 St Johnstone, no dons scorer
  11. I see he's signed a new deal keeping him at the club until 2021
  12. Not too dissimilar at all, although I felt that Treble Cone (down south) was possibly longer. I think my colleagues said they've been as late as November before, but i'd imagine it'll start to dwindle in October. they've had plenty of snow (nearly about 3m on the mountain in total) so a decent base layer. Apparently Mt Ruapehu's ski season lasts longer than those in the south island, but I doubt I'll be able to go up again this season.
  13. Weekend out at Whakapapa ski field with work. Saturday was the best day, especially given the weather was predicted to be awful but turned out to be a bluebird. Put a lot of JAFA's (Tom and Andrew will know) off from coming which was great. Sunday was very windy but still beautiful weather. Much icier but with views across to Mt. Taranaki in the West. Top of Waterfall Western chairlift From up top! Andrew, you made it out there yet?

    Tennis

Sounds like Serena was being a complete fanny, and unsurprisingly, the nationalist yanks were typically uncouth. How to ruin such a special moment for someone.
  15. Burt Reynolds
  16. Signed a new deal until 2021 Now give him a start https://www.afc.co.uk/2018/09/04/bruce-anderson-striker-signs-new-contract/
  17. Horrific timing.
  18. Unheard of apart from carling cup games. Used to be able to by get tickets for a tenner
  19. Granted he's deregistered his membership from the SNP etc, but does that cease your title for a career you've carved all your life? Personally, I don't think so. He's still a politician. But taking your tact, if he's a private citizen, then he should have funded it himself, like any normal citizen...I find it absolutely pathetic he asked people to support his own cause. Doesn't say much for those who backed him (regardless of outcome).
  20. No, what is he then?
  21. Pretty much my thoughts on the matter too. Just feel that with Anderson, he may create something, rightly or wrongly, I don't feel that with May.
  22. Great finish from Stewart, but it felt like I was watching in slow mo. Was everyone jogging? Pathetic defending. We were awful for large swathes of last season, and still somehow picked up second place. Not worried yet, but they need to get their act together. As KFP says, time to drop may and play Anderson. At least he's got youthful energy and goals in his play at the moment. Also, on the same points as the huns mk. 2 and hibs. Despite all their plaudits. Weird.
  23. He's a scouser, expect nothing but the greatest levels of stupidity from them.
  24. Ffs, we lost to that shower of shite?
  25. Folk funding his process? Fucking pathetic. He's a politician, he can afford to do it himself. If he's found to be guilty, folk essentially facilitating it.
