  1. Top Tier Totty (or something?) Shaking in her little space boots? Cove Sheep?
  2. Donstalkers, afc-chatters of old, are they still with us under new usernames, or did they make the break away from internet fan-forum madness? I'll start... Wicker and SLYFOX (first with the latest)
  3. Would sacking the Jimmy's not be very expensive for Aberdeen? We're all fecked off by the situation the club are in, but getting rid of Calderwood would be an unnecessary expense in my opinion, not to mention an unwelcome decision amongst the playing staff. If anybody can come up with a sensible and affordable replacement for Jimmy, somebody who you honestly believe would take the job, and improve the situation, then please let me know. There is absolutely nothing between third and twelvth in the SPL just now, two good results and we start talking about Europe again. The Times article comes as a direct result of the rumblings amongst our support. The truth is It's time for us all to get behind the players, and the management, and this mini crisis will be over before Christmas.
  4. Brilliant.
  5. 1. Willie Miller for obvious reasons. Most important player in our history. 2. Theo Snelders. I don't think we'd have had the success we had in the late 80s, and I include cup runners up as success because at least we were still a considerable force in Scottish football, without the big man between the sticks. For those too young to remember, Theo was an outstanding performer every week. 3. Scott Severin. It's no coincidence that afc's slow but steady revival over the last 5 seasons has been with him at the heart of the team. Whatever people think about him and his performances over the last 12 months, there's no getting away from the fact that seve is the nearest thing we've got to a proper footballer. Could have picked so many more, but after carefull consideration that's my three.
  6. Attendance 6,844 Time to start thinking about re-developing Tynecastle, or a permanent move to Murrayfield. The jambos love these big European nights.

  8. Let's do some maths... Shite Footballer + Diving Cheat = Kirk Broadfoot
  9. Djibril Cisse on his way to Sunderland possibly, according to the bbc. Anderson will come back to Aberdeen, but not until his playing days are over I don't think.

Hurlock, not Warlock. Tell me more.
  11. And a retrospective yellow card for Broadfoot after his diving antics.
  12. I can only assume the EE photographer wanted a picture of the lads in order of height, smallest to tallest. Jimmy has obviously got involved, and already seems to be trying to play Tommy Wright out of position??
  13. Stay off the swabs son.
  14. I was one of the optimistic ones throughout last season, but having been ringside for Saturdays defeat I'm dreading this weekend and the weeks to follow. A good performance and positive result would put the spring back in my step, but I cant see who that result will be against. Wright will get my full backing, but this has 'Nigel Pepper' written all over it.
  15. I agree, hopefully he will. Hopefully they all will. I might put money on him being red-carded against the huns next week.
  16. I can hardly wait to see our new saviour in action. Anyone else think Motherwell are going to murder us on Saturday?
  17. More like a cup semi-final for the dons.
  18. Foster was shite, but if we're going to pick on him let's have a look at the bigger picture. Why the hell is he playing at right back in the first place? All we've done is sign a left back and move the problem to another part of the pitch. Of course we can point the finger at Jimmy, it's been clear for many weeks that Maybury wasn't coming back, so why was there no urgency in trying to find a replacement before the season started? Or better still, let's aim higher. Jimmy should pick Stewart Milne to play at right back from now on, and he can run up and down the wing with the sound of abuse and booing in his ears. Milne is far more deserving of such treatment in my opinion.
  19. Most worrying thing for me was during the first half when Maguire made his single contribution to the proceedings, he broke down the left and got past Phil McGuire, fired across a usefull looking ball, but not one Aberdeen midfielder was even close to the eighteen yard box. Shocking lack of effort / desire / natural instinct. In stark contrast, the second ICT goal came from a veteran midfielder who burst a gut to run sixty yards chasing a lost cause. You get out of games what you put into them, and even a team of relatively unskilled cloggers can pick up good results if they're prepared to put in the fucking effort. You have been picked to play for Aberdeen football club, now get out there and prove you deserve the fucking privilege. Any player, regardless of the level they're playing at, should instinctively give 100% effort and commitment.
  20. Foster was far from the worst performer today, and I thought what Lee Miller did he did well. Business as usual for Langfield. Jamie Smith looked very low on confidence. Maguire is totally out of his depth in the SPL, Caley have a very ordinary backline - but they're big blokes who do what defenders are meant to do...defend, and they must have loved defending against an 8 stone midget fairy like bebo. New signings looked ok although there were a couple of shakey moments from Mulgrew. Best - Miller 6/10 Worst - Maguire 2/10 Everyone else somewhere in between. Very bad start to what could be a difficult campaign. We need a big perfomance at Motherwell next week.
  21. I suspect he may be homo-sexual.
  22. If only we'd known three or four weeks ago that we needed a new right back, maybe the situation could have been addressed. I'm concerned we're going to see Lee Mair feature in that starting line up.
  23. He's relishing his new roll.
