  1. I'd rather have Chris Clark in my team than Duff, ok he's turned out better than we thought he would but as kelt says he does nothing to improve the overall quality of the squad. And as for putting a "good shot just past the post" against Rangers, any pro worth his salt would hit the target from there and at least make the keeper save it. Good luck to the guy and of course he'll get my backing during games. But let's not pretend this is anything other than the easy option for Aberdeen. Average player no other club wanted, relatively low wages, easy peasy for Jimmy Calderwood who's probably in Majorca already instead of looking for players who will actually improve the dons. It's going to be a long, slow Summer. Especially at the Afc ticket office.
  2. I wouldn't loose any sleep over it.
  3. Exactly. Same old same old. I just want them to push the feckin boat out a wee bit and give us some hope for season 08/09.
  4. None of the names mentioned are particularly ambitious for the club though are they. Shouldn't they be aiming for somebody really good? Somebody that will get us excited and rushing to renew season tickets? Also we know Nicholson is leaving, but this 'massive overhaul' of the squad we keep hearing about cant just be for him, who else is heading out? All the Bullshit about 12 players coming in etc etc was simply said to take the heat out of the QOS cup defeat. Talk of Duff staying tells me we've got little to look forward to next season.
  5. Official attendance 1090. However, despite the defeat and against all the odds, it seems Hearts have succeeded in their battle against relegation. Credit to Stevie Frail for guiding the Jambos to safety.
  6. I'm not sure if Nicholson can cut it at that level.
  7. He's impressed me with the penalties he's taken recently, he is a handfull for defenders, and if he can just start finding the net a little bit more consistently I'll be happy for him to be first choice striker.
  8. Agree with Chunk about a fit Jamie Smith, he would have made a big difference in several games this season. Hopefully Miller will start bangin' them in from day 1 next season. Bring it on.
  9. Fuck me, if he's brave enough to tackle Jade Goody there cant be too many SPL defenders that would scare the guy. I would by the way, obviously.
  10. I thought we were going to find out this week about Millers decision, it's getting really tedious now. I'm guessing that if he was staying the announcement would have been made by now to give everyone a lift for the last couple of games, therefor any announcement about him leaving will be left until after we either fail to win tomorrow, or if we still have a chance of Europe on the final day, after the huns game. Afc made to look like mugs as usual.

    Rangers

Is he playing for Rangers now? Feckin traitor.
  12. Final score 2-1. It's to be expected at this stage of the season with so many big games coming up, the SPL should be doing more to help Hearts with their fixture congestion, they've had to play Inverness, Falkirk and St Mirren in the last 18 days.
  13. Just in, ther's something really sweet about beating those fuckers. Nice one loads still to play for, it would be a miracle if we get third but just taking it to the last day would be great considering what the season has been like. Must win next week and we can, motherwell arses will be twitching by the time we get down there. United fans are fucking scum, more missiles today and after similar incidents during the semi they should be hammered. like me. Dont just stand, stand free.

  16. Would this be what he meant..
  17. Roll on next season.
  18. I kinda hoped these would be 2 of the players making way for the arrival of the dirty dozen? Worryingly, Jimbo obviously has other plans...
  19. All the excitement and optimism I had just vanished, like an erection when my wife enters the room.
  20. Absolutely agree, we need a mixed bag. A couple more quality youngsters on loan, maybe an experienced SPL campaigner or two, and hopefully at least one player that will give us all a real lift and some confidence for next season. I'm also concerned about whether Duff and Mair will still be with us in 2008/09? I hope not.
  21. You're so dull when you're being sensible. It is of course better to have a dis-interested player off the pay roll, but it just seems like afc getting fucked about again. So who will replace Russell's replacement? Scott Wilson?
  22. Exactly, he should be told in no uncertain terms that he's expected at training at 9am, Monday to Friday for the next year. If he's got a problem with that it's up to him to negotiate a way out. "We won't be too hard to deal with." Why the fuck not, nobody ever does us any favours. As usual afc roll over and get shafted up the arse, the way the club is run is often baffling. I know we won't miss Jackie, but there is principle at stake here.
  23. You know, the way these games were played back in the 80's I'm surprised nobody ended up with a serious injury.
  24. 'Feel good factor' is essential at any football club during the summer months, we had it last May due to beating Rangers on the last day and qualifying for Europe. We would have had it again if we were going to Hampden for the cup final. I agree that due to recent disapointments and the lack of European football next season, the big nobs at Pittodrie need to make at least one significant signing, along with several less imaginative signings, to rekindle the fans interest / enthusiasm. Big clubs all over the world do it, a big name signing means selling more shirts and season tickets, and gives everyone who cares about the club renewed hope for the new season. We need a lift.
  25. Panic over, it's not Wilson, Young and Esson. It's all been a big mis-understanding. It's Wilson, Young and Easton, former Utd midfield ... erm ... general. Phew.
