Looking at the league table there, certainly seems possible we could slip to 9th on Saturday. It's not that the players are not good enough, there are just far too many who aren't consistent enough. With the exception of Tommy Wright, all those players have done well on occasion for the dons. I don't blame managers past or present for our inconsistent squad. Consistently good players cost money, which we don't have. We're crying out for a goal scorer though, hopefully that will be addressed shortly.

Is this what you learn on the Offshore Survival training course? Brace for impact, stay calm and place one hand on your seatbelt buckle, with your other hand whip out your mobile phone and start filming the aftermath of the ditching. This one was in Nigeria towards the end of last year, Aberdeen based company Bristow own the aircraft.

This new over-complicated 'sudden death' rule sounds pish. Why don't we just have a top six/bottom six split towards the end of the season to really confuse people? Fatjim must go, I'll organise the protest banners. Harcus - your time of destiny is upon us. Or something.

Agree BigAl, I think that cunt Lafferty was more deserving of a red card today than any of the Aberdeen players sent off this season. But he only got a yellow. On the same subject, what was Weir up to when he dived to the ground holding his face near the end of the OF game, and why did SKY refuse to show even one replay of the incident, and then choose to omit it from their highlights? Our game fucking stinks of bias towards the huns.

Everytime I log onto afc chat Nicnac says he's going to ban me. But you don't react. You just bide your time, then leave for another forum. Ok, he never actually says/said that. I just made it up. Now I look like a fucking pleb. Nice one Marko.

At both ends, in the same half of a match if I remember correctly. He was a bloody good right back, it's understandable that some of the younger users will find it hard to imagine real quality players playing in a dons team, but once you've seen full backs like McKimmie (and Stewart Kennedy before him) it's hard to get excited about any of the dross we've had to endure since. I have no gripe with McKmmie. Great player, great servant to the club, shite in the EE.

Helen St Mirren can expect to feel some hard tackle sliding in from behind tomorrow. She's got a gaping hole in her rearguard which I hope we can exploit.

Well done Jimmy for spotting the kid's talent and giving him his debut last season. Oh and well done Mark McGhee for inheriting a decent player.

Davie Robb wants to help the Dons for free
CtS replied to BobbyBiscuit's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
We don't need Eusebio, we've got Davie Robb. I enjoyed a few ales in his old boozer. Absolutely. We lose and it ruins my week. Just ask my missus. -

No one outwith the Old Firm really are winning trophies though are they, out of 30 domestic trophies in the last 10 years the OF have won 27 (I think), with only Hearts winning the Scottish cup (once) and Hibs and Livingston winning the league cup (once each). On all 3 occasions neither half of the OF featured in the final. It's all very well looking at our own flaws and trying to find a glimmer of hope for the future, the most obvious and frustrating thing being the way we've missed out on cup success by frequently losing to lower league opposition, but the reality is our domestic football is now totally dominated by those scumbags and it's almost impossible to break that stranglehold. Even when getting to a final, any non OF club will probably find one last insurmountable obstacle (usually some poor refereeing decision) in their way. The only crumb of comfort is we support our teams for the love of the club, not just the glory. Part of that love and support is dealing with the difficult reality that we may never see our club win silverware again, but despite that not "giving it up now. saving us all time, money, effort and emotion."

Just spent about 15 minutes reading some good stuff on the hat, stuff I wasn't clever enough to work out for myself.... For example, we lost today because Jimmy signed Tommy Wright. We lost because Jimmy left us with so much shite. Todays result was one of our worst ever, and Mark Mcghee is clueless. I'm very happy I had to work this weekend and missed this match, but the hysterical over-reaction is just typical. We are in a period of transition (albeit a needless one in my opinion, but we've already done that to death) and we have to be patient even after results like this. Inconsistency and poor quality football - the horrible reality of the situation we find ourselves in this season. It's January sales time in the next few weeks, and I hope our Board of Directors are on the ball. Mcghee needs to be granted a transfer wish or two to quench the embers of unrest already smouldering amongst our fickle fans. For us in the real world, bring on the hibs.

If you log on to afc-chat.net the people there will be able to help you organise your protest, and it's a great place to drum up support for your cause. They've staged succesfull protests in the past and will have all the kit you need for making protest banners etc. Good luck!

I remember the silence being disturbed but only by a couple of eejits coughing to start with, then some of us dandies started getting restless and reacted, and it degenerated from there. Red card for David Preece and the "who's the poofter in the pink" chant at a hibs minker are the other abiding memories of that day. My favourite Zerouali moment was the break away goal aginst hibs at Pittodrie. He was a wee star.
-
Very frustrating, when he was missing last week I thought we passed the ball really well from the back.
-
Does this mean we're pish again? Ah well, it was good while it lasted.
-
If you're short of a few pounds I'll happily give you one.
-
Could have been an easier draw. Rangers at Pittodrie for example.

Durrant's got his studs up too... Apparently it took Neil McCann less than 30 seconds to bring the Simpson incident up during the Sky coverage. What a wank. -
It's so refreshing to see youngsters like Pawlett and Paton running at defenders, refs have no choice but to give us free kicks when these kids are hacked down by some of the shite defenders in the spl. I expect them to cause celtic similar problems next week.

Do you think we can now put our early European exit down to the poor standard of opposition we have to face in the spl?
