  1. Bravo fergie, well deserved too.
  2. Who's been seen wandering around?
  3. I've heard he had a bug the past few days
  4. Maloneys post matcher is verging on the mentally unwell so not surprised to hear they are appealing. He basically swept his legs from behind, nowhere near the ball. Aye, vb's isn't as good when you watch it again but he's hit it well enough 2bf. I don't think the international break is so bad right now 2bh mate. We go into it on a high and its more recuperation and acclimatisation time for the squad and Goodwin.
  5. Porteus has talent but he doesn't fucking learn. Rash and stupid challenge, reckon he's been watching cobra kai 2bh
  6. At the very least it feels like there is still something to play for and we all would have snapped the hand of that offer when we went out of the cup.
  7. Unbelievably Europe is still on. After todays results 6 points from Dundee away and county at home might just be enough to get is into the top half before the split. Some ping from besuijen
  8. It's an interesting place Goodwin finds himself. Arrives after the season is all but a bogey, has his first home game with fergie looking over his shoulder and then has to go to Tynecastle and mordor. All of which with a decimated squad and a captain walking out. Despite the losses the fans seem to have taken him in well which is to his credit. On paper we have a talented squad, and I think a few weeks on the training ground will be good for us. Watkins is hopefully back soon too and whilst he is inconsistent when he's on it he has a spark about him. Right now I'll take that. Interesting to see who Goodwin names captain.... My money is on Ferguson.
  9. Apparently on his way, terminated contract. Probs for the best, I certainly wouldn't describe his signing as a failure but this is probably best for both parties now glass has left. Frees up a big wage too
  10. Didn't realise that either. This team could do with the break and hopefully will have a few more options available come the spoon burners at home. Watkins potentially might be coming into contention too.
  11. At Goodwins presser yesterday he said brown would have a big role to play today so it defo fits
  12. I don't recall tom but I'll take your word for it
  13. It's probably the softest penalty I have ever seen Aberdeen be awarded.
  14. Given our injury list I would be pleasantly surprised if we got anything from this. Not impossible but if we concede early we are likely getting battered.
  15. The problem, I suspect anyway, is that you were dropped on your head an awful lot as a kid
  16. I think a lot will depend on who's available for how this one will go.
  17. I would defo rather Goodwin over lambert. He's been guff since his heydey at Norwich. Truthfully Rico I don't recall too much mention of Goodwin as someone we should target back in the day but I did always have a grudging respect for him. As limited as he was as a player he was always a nightmare to play against.
  18. Ooooo, just realised if it's Goodwin this is the first manager that will be younger than me.....
  19. The big difference for me is Ross and lennon are on a downward trajectory whilst Goodwin is on an upwards one. Re the debate about ambition etc I kinda think both sides have really valid points. People do take jobs for a variety of reasons, Clarke going to Killie being a prime example. It has to be said though that a level of pragmatism always has to be applied with aiming to punch above your weight. I mind that utter plum from whatever that supporters group was called suggesting on the radio we should try and get someone like Eddie howe to replace DM. Aye mate, the finance needed to get him in the door wouldn't bankrupt the club several times over. If it's Goodwin I'm at peace with that, as I said before I like the cut of his jib. St mirren has been a fertile hunting ground for us for managers though, 12 trophies from the last two though obviously Alex smiths legacy is not so fondly remembered as fergies.
  20. Latest rumour I'm hearing up here (I live in Inverness for those that don't know) is that malky mackay is in the running. I doubt that would go down very well
  21. Just saw David Robertson suggested. Genuinely curious as to how that would go down with the support
  22. I wouldn't be pissed off with Goodwin being appointed, like the cut of his jib and all that, but its not a set the Heather alight appointment either. It's actually really interesting to see what cormack goes with now. We have nothing to reference from really. I mean, sure he binned DM but he never appointed him either. Glass was his guy. His guy whom he's dispatched fairly ruthlessly, and, if we are to believe press reports, had wanted to earlier but had given more time after a plea from the players. So yeah, interesting to see who cormack goes for. Often is the case that chairman go for a safe option after a big experiment and someone well versed in the league like Goodwin and Ross would defo fit that bill. Not so sure cormacks ego will allow for that though.... He wants to be seen as dynamic and ground breaking and I wouldn't be at all surprised if goes for another left field appointment. Happy with Robson in the interim. I like the cut of his jib too.
  23. Jesus wept
  24. I suspect they don't want to play him ona plastic pitch. Re Montgomery we don't know if Mackenzie is fully fit 2bf
  25. Previously I was a big fat no on that idea but now I'm not so sure.....
