  1. Did you get to speak to him Al?
  2. Pat Bonnor seems convinced they are going to stick with him till January. I tell you what, they stick with that back 3 on Sunday I think our front line will have a lot of opportunities.
  3. Nancy looks the epitomy of a defeated man. Wouldn't be surprised to see him gone tonight 2bh
  4. What a difference a year makes though, the Tim implosion has been quite something to behold.
  5. Unless celtic batter them I don't think it makes any difference to us. This is the first time I've really watched them under Nancy and whilst they are attacking a lot I'm not really getting the fear. They defo look shaky at the back and I think we will cause them problems
  6. Fallout series 2 has just started on Prime. Though I'm just going to it from next week on as the number of long ad breaks they put into it was ridiculous. A bit annoyed that they are doing this weekly and not the whole thing as the whole point of Fallout is to gorge on it. Whining aside, solid episode one and can't wait to see where it goes.
  7. Good question. I suppose it depends hugely on what it is that brings about the end of capatalism. If it's a really gruesome global war over resources (which seems the most likely) then it really is impossible to predict as it will likely take a long time before anything resembling civilisation starts to form again. That said, when it did, it would probably just adopt capitalism again A more positive scenario that would knock capitalism for 6 would be the advancement of automation to the point where humans don't actually have to work to live. That's not say they don't but it's because they want to and it's not for financial reward as we would think of it. I'm sceptical myself and no idea how it would work but ultimately the goal of automation has always been to make whatever job that's being automated easier for a human to complete. Eventually that ideal leads to no-one having to work because there is no need to and that would fuck with capitalism big time. What comes after that who knows but it would likely be a significant moment in human civilisation.
  8. Merica!
  9. He's always come across as a grade A bellend to me 2bh, can understand why Killie fans didn't want him.
  10. You did not imagine it. It confused the hell out of me as well as where I sit in the main I can turn around and just about see one of the screens in a corporate box and they show replays unlike the big screen. I.e I had seen enough of the replay to know if he had handled it was defo inside the box.
  11. I think a lot of people, myself included, turned up expecting a fairly routine home win to brighten a grim Sunday afternoon and were a bit peeved it wasn't going that way at the half time whistle. Someone mentioned in the match thread the stadium was a bit gurny in general the first half and I think this is why. I suppose we are streaky team under JT but my feeling is we are all really going to enjoy the second half of the season as this team is starting to look like it has real potential. Europe has been a real hindrance (though if we started the season with the team as it is now I think we would have done loads better) but without it and, touch wood, some astute in's and outs in January (cometh the hour, cometh the Lutz perhaps) I think we will be in great shape. One thing I think bodes particularly well is the 6-0 we have got this season doesn't seem to have affected us even remotely like it did last season. For one thing that was at our lowest ebb this season as opposed to riding on the crest of a wave with our best start in our history. It's also bodes well the way we have scrapped our way out of this hole we were in.
  12. For the first time this season we have a positive goal difference. Also worth noting that despite our grim start to the season we have actually now won a game more than the three teams above us. Hibs have played the same number of games, the huns 1 less and Motherwell 1 more.
  13. Molloy would have been great to be available for this OD but Dorrington is our only cover for cb at the moment.
  14. Wow! Wonder if we have ever had a Dibbly play at Pittodrie
  15. This Was speaking to a good pal who's a St Mirren fan earlier to offer my congrats and said to him I was actually looking forward to playing at the San Giro for once. They are there for the taking.
  16. Quite the poisoned chalice County have become.
  17. Just watched the extended highlights on RTV there. Re our pen there didn't appeat to be an angle that shows the actual incident clearly so not surprised VAR ignored it and went with the refs decision. First half we looked miles off it but came into it a wee bit toward the end. Good save from Mitov at 1-0 to deny wee brucie but he was probably just offside. Second half was defo better but I still felt we laboured for spells and it wasn't really till Bilalovic came on that I felt Killie started to look a little worried. I was really impressed with the kid I have to say. When you consider the lack of game time he's had it was surprising to see him have such a breath of fresh air quality about him. He took his goal really well too, he proper had to fight to get on the end of it I would hope/expect to see a lot more of him going forward now. I said I would take any win but ideally a comprehensive one for added momentum. A come from behind win when you've been a bit shit for a large part of it is almost as good.
  18. We have been clunky as hell that first half though I'll give credit to Killie who have looked well up for it. Defo a few changes at half time needed imo
  19. Aye i would not be surprised if they already had moves lined up.
  20. Defo expecting Polvara back in tom
  21. I imagine Pittodrie isn't cheap to upkeep these days, there would likely be some significant savings to be made by moving to a modern building (heating bill springs to mind). I would also hope there would be enough financial benefits (e.g. we have no club museum but I bet we would in a new place) that would eat into the rental costs to make them fairly negligible. The downside to it all is we never own the ground, we'll still be paying rent long after the stadium has been paid off and will not be able to profit from our home ground the way our rivals can.
  22. I'll take any kind of win 2bh but it would be nice to get a convincing one and up the momentum a wee bit. The red tinted specs podcast had a Killie fan on and he sounded thoroughly depressed with all things KFC which bodes well. In Main 3-0 Polvara, Lazetic and Nisbet
  23. The only thing I would say here is hospitals, schools and roads will never pay for themselves. It doesn't seem unreasonable to assume that any loan taken out by the local authority for this work would not be getting paid by tax payers, it would be getting paid for by the profits of it's use which won't just be from rent from the Club. I don't disagree that the club needs a stadium more than the council but the council needs Aberdeen fc in the city more than the club does. The club moving to the outskirts of the city would be devastating to the city's finances which is why the LA approached the club in the first place a few years back. It's not like the Dons haven't brought billions into the local economy over the past 120 years if you added it all up and applied inflation. I say all this as someone who has no horse in the race other an AFC as I don't live in Aberdeen. My opinion on this is at best uninformed but on the face of it from the outside looking in it does seem like all parties would win.
  24. My very favourite player of all time. When he played the masters last year I genuinely welled up a bit seeing him score for the dons one last time.
