Thursday, 31 Jan 2008 The Committee found that Brechin City had breached the Cup Competition Rules by fielding two ineligible players, William Dyer and Michael Paton. As a consequence of this breach, the Committee decided that Brechin City be removed from this season's Scottish Cup Competition. Seems a bit late in the day to be sorting this out. Doesn't personally bother me whether there's now a game on Saturday but presume its a headache for supporters clubs organising buses if the game is back on?

Couldn't get international clearance to see him play in a competitive game couldn't have helped matter.

Saturday's Scottish Cup 5th Round tie against Brechin has been called off. The SFA held a meeting this morning and have asked Brechin and Hamilton to replay their 4th Round game. More to follow. http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1228878,00.html

The EE is suggesting Brechin and Hamilton might have to replay again! So the team could have an extended break this week, followed by playing twice every week for a few weeks.

And who knows if Saturday's game will proceed or not. This would be the last thing our league campaign needs.
