  1. I'll no doubt get slated, but Willie has overhauled the youth system and lets hope it works this time. But it'll surely take a few years before we see it bare some fruit. Also, I'm not aware the scouting system has gone tits up, I thought we had scouts working all over the place, including the likes of Peter Weir.
  2. Great shout. Remember when we were playing some Polish team and he announces a substitution "And the player going off is Picz.......................................I actually thought he was having a good game". (pronounded "pish")
  3. Reminds me of an amusing incident at a past AGM. Willie Miller was not involved in the club at the time but stood up to ask a question along the lines of "When is the club getting new training facilities? You are still using the same playing fields that we were using in the 1980s!" Before Milne could answer, Ebbe comes out with "Ah, but there's new grass there now!" to much hilarity. Anyway Willie, when are we getting new training facilities?
  4. Having an actual training facility might help!
  5. We seem to have a habit of over hyping youngsters. I don't know if the EE is to blame, but Mackie was the next Owen, Maguire is the best youngster Nichol has ever worked with, and Diamond too was hyped up. Diamond is doing well now that he has stopped believing the hype. Not sure Maguire will ever make it for the Dons. Another John Stewart I fear.
  6. On the odd occasion I used to visit, he was either posting incorrect financial figures, or appearing to deliberately misquote Calderwood to stir things up. In between that, he has some good points to raise though.
  7. I think we'll win.
  8. After seeing who posted it on BNP-Chat I would be very surprised if its not a complete load of bollocks. Do managers sign pre-contract agreements?
  9. Yep. I'd imagine most season ticket holders will be there but not many others.

    Any chance of this one?
  11. Aberdeen v Motherwell Aberdeen defender Stuart Duff will miss the visit of Motherwell with a hamstring injury. Jamie Smith, Richie Byrne and Jackie McNamara are out with similar injuries while Derek Young is sidelined with a knee problem. Well's David Clarkson suffered an eye injury during Saturday's loss to Hearts but may still feature at Pittodrie. However, left-back Danny Murphy has returned to Cork City following a lack of opportunities since joining Well. Aberdeen (from): Langfield, Mair, Maybury, Diamond, Considine, Bus, Foster, Walker, Nicholson, Severin, Aluko, Miller, Lovell, Mackie, Maguire, De Visscher, Touzani, D Smith, Soutar. Motherwell (from): G Smith, Quinn, Hammell, Craigan, Reynolds, Hughes, Lasley, Fitzpatrick, Clarkson, McCormack, Porter, McGarry, J Murphy, Archdeacon, McLean, Lappin, D Smith, Daniels.
  12. Would it surprise anyone that the name of Scott Wilson is being mentioned in today's EE?
  13. I watched it when I got back. It just confirmed to me that Langfield had a howler for the first two goals. And it also amazed me that the slowest professional footballer ever, managed to get himself offside when Mackie scored. The whole occasion looked great on tv. Good to see Eric Black wheeled out for Setanta's coverage.
  14. Aitkens Rowie. He flew back Friday as far as I'm aware. Stansted flight. And, he had far too much Jagermeister!
  15. Just KKK.
  16. Nice photo of me Craig! LOL. That's a certain person sitting there who is banned from KKK-Chat for rubbing up a few folk the wrong way.
  17. Still on the go. I don't think John Stephen is still involved though. http://www.afctrust.com/
  18. One for the SFA, but fitting a bar in the RDS concourse for pre-match and half-time drinks! Preferably with some Dunkel and Jagermeister! Release this years European adventure on DVD. Organise top class opposition for Gothenburg anniversary. (Real Madrid, Barcelona or Man Utd). Ban Charlie Allan from the ground. Keep Old Firm fans in ground while home supporters can go home first up Park Road.
  19. Aye I was told you were in the bar somewhere but I don't think we met. I think everybody was well pissed! Great fun though... The beermats were flying that night.
  20. Great stuff!!!
  21. I fear the worst, but then I feared the worst against Dnipro, Locomotiv, Copenhagen and Bayern (home game) so anything is possible. League wise, we have some decent fixtures (although yesterday's was what should have been a "decent fixture") so we can still make the top 6.
  22. Just as well the rest of the team are playing so well and that its only Mackie that's letting us down!
