  1. http://www.livesportontv.com/sportindex.php?id=1 With BBC showing the Huns game, will our game be on the red button or available through another channel? I am going to Munich but I wouldn't mind being able to Sky+ it!
  2. He should have been booked in the first half for persistent hand-ball.
  3. Aye, totally. Play like that and we can beat them!
  4. I'm not too happy about Mair or Considine but nevermind. Mon the Dons!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I don't think any of our current squad would make the bench for the 1983 team.
  6. Now called "The Pearl Lounge" so you heard wrong!
  7. I reckon we'll get a draw tonight!
  8. Touzani has had his best games in Europe. Bus looked pretty good last weekend. Jury still out on DeVisscher.
  9. Absolutely spot on!
  10. MILLER KEEN TO SIGN NEW CONTRACT AT PITTODRIE 12:00 - 11 February 2008 Lee Miller is ready to lift the pain at Pittodrie by committing his future to the club. The striker, pictured, confirmed he's ready to pen a new Dons deal after weeks of talks. The news will lift boss Jimmy Calderwood in the wake of the heavy Celtic defeat. Miller wants to get things resolved this week which would be a boost ahead of Thursday's UEFA Cup showdown with Bayern Munich. "We're still talking and I'm hopeful we can get something sorted out this week," said Miller. "I'm keen to stay at Aberdeen. I hope we can come to an agreement and I'm confident that will happen." The 24-year-old scored in the 5-1 defeat to Celtic yesterday. Despite hitting eight league goals this term Miller insists he's yet to hit peak form. Miller added: "There's still a lot more to come from me."
  11. You don't expect us to win surely? I was amazed to qualify for the group stages, let alone scrape out of them into the last 32.
  12. I'm well up for it. On the footballing side, I just hope the tie isn't over after Thursday. I don't believe it will be. Should be a great trip to Munich though! Can't wait for the German beer! And just remember, its Calderwood that's got us this trip!
  13. I do wonder if this is the beginning of the end for Calderwood. I think he’s done great, and we’ve made real progress to have been competing in 4 competitions in February but if it all comes crashing down then fans will forget what’s been achieved and call for change which may or may not be the right thing to do. We’re obviously not going to beat Bayern, but he needs to turn things around in the league, and some how beat Celtic in the cup! I think 4th gets us into Europe, so that might have to be the target now. This season has had some massive highs, and some awful lows. But it makes a change when we used to have the season all over in January! I'm still in the "give him until the end of the season" camp though. If we can get European qualification out of this season somehow, then that'll do for me!
  14. PLEASE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I'm wondering if we've seen the last of him, he seemed to hobble off quite badly.
  16. Could be wrong, but was it not Walker that caused the pen? I also thought Bus was one of our better players, particularly in the 2nd half. Anyway, I'm just in. It was an awful afternoon for Mackie. I thought we matched Celtic well in the first half, and had 2-3 good chances to score (Mackie's first miss was a real howler). JC needs to stick with that back 4, no matter what happens, to give them time to gel. I do wonder if this is the beginning of the end for JC though. Even though I'm in the group that thinks he's done extremely well for us. But once most of the fans get on your back, the writing will be on the wall unless he can turn it around. Interesting that a sub (Foster) was himself subbed!
  17. But you and Jagerdeen could fight over his ticket?
  18. I had no idea your username was a Queen song (mainly because I'd never heard of the song). I just assumed you lived in a Tenement. With your stick. And your wheelchair. Sorry!
  19. Certainly the lack of entertainment is definitely having an effect on crowd numbers, but there are other factors which probably are having some effect too. e.g. rising prices, available of games in pubs through arabic tv, other games in other leagues on tv, competition for other forms of entertainment etc... Crowd numbers this season are on a par with the last two, and on a whole crowd numbers throughout the game are falling. I'd love to see us average 15, 16K but it just seems so unlikely despite what the product on the pitch might be. I'm not sure when we last had an average attendance of > 14K. Probably not for the last 10 years.
  20. But "JC should not be judged on what has gone before him" and attendances were down long before he turned up.
