  1. Inverness 4 - 1 Aberdeen FT An experienced Inverness side proved too strong for the young Dons this afternoon, with the game virtually over at half-time as the Dons found themselves 4-0 down. It took the home side only four minutes to take the lead when Graham Bayne opened the scoring. Bayne went on to complete a first half hat-trick with goals after 23 and 29 minutes, with former Don Dennis Wyness completing the scoring. Aberdeen's best chance of the first half fell to Chris Maguire, but the striker could only fire over from the edge of the area. David Ross replaced Peter Pawlett at half-time, and it was Ross who grabbed Aberdeen's only goal. Ross finished well on the hour mark to give the Dons a slight consolation, on what was a disappointing afternoon for Sandy Clark's men. Aberdeen: Soutar, McVitie, Dan Smith, Duff, Skinner, Crawford, Pawlett (David Ross), Jonathan Smith, Maguire, Aluko (Carroll), Stuart Smith Subs not used: Lamberty, Nicky Clark, Scott Ross, Callum McRobbie, Bamba, Bateman
  2. I voted for central defence, but I believe it will be a temporary measure. Bus and Diamond may be the new centre half partnership. If Nicholson doesn't stay then we'll need Seve in midfield. He definitely brings some calmness and composure to the back line though.
  3. If this was BNP-Chat you run the risk of getting a public knuckle-wrapping for being constantly too negative. http://www.afc-chat.co.uk/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=12187&view=findpost&p=213626
  4. Would be a good signing. EE confirms he's on trial with a view to signing until the end of the season. His mother is Irish so no issues work permit wise. Top scorer for Notre Dame 4 seasons in a row. Recommended by Bobby Clark! Dave Bus expected to sign today. Once he's passed his medical he'll sign on loan until the end of the season.
  5. De Visscher gave some comments about Bus when he came on trial. http://www.thisisaberdeen.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=148309&command=displayContent&sourceNode=148302&contentPK=19471346&folderPk=85371&pNodeId=148325
  6. He's not even signed yet and already we're suggesting he's not going to get a game? Stats look good to me, and he was De Grafts player of the year two seasons ago.
  7. If he signs, lets give the boy a chance.
  8. My mate used to live above a gay bloke and the floorboards weren't particularly thick. One night, after a particularly noisy session from downstairs, with lots of hammering and banging sounds, it went quiet, and a voice could be heard saying "Are you okay Alan?".
  9. I personally treat any article that includes the words "By Charlie Allan" with high suspicion and contempt. This could well be more sensationalist rubbish from the fat cretin. None of the quotes attributed to JC in the article include the words "Steve" or "Lovell" so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt. In any case, if JC wants to get rid of Lovell then slagging off his performance is hardly going to attract new suitors. So I can only assume its an attempt to get him to pull his finger out which has been spun by the fat ex-postie. As usual!
  10. Aye but it seems to work for Dundee Utd.
  11. League: 4th CIS Cup: Winners Scottish Cup: Semi Final UEFA Cup: Last 32 What are your current predictions for each competition?
  12. Totally agree. Hope he can do something when he gets his fitness back. We're needing some goals, particularly away from home where his pace should be an asset.
  13. Rangers game appears to be on the 13th, so good chance BBC will show the Bayern home game? For the return leg, both games appear to be on at around the same time.
  14. I can envisage the rest of the league season being much the same - i.e. we do well at home, struggle away, and the teams around us move up and down as well as there is not one team consistent enough to finish 3rd (at the moment), so it could be pretty tight in the league. I still think we'll finish 3rd or 4th. Next two cup games are now massive!
  15. Confirmed by BBC website that he's signed until the end of the season.
  16. That would suggest there's not going to be many (if any) disappointed in the ballot.
  17. He's signed. Doesn't confirm how long for. http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1218524,00.html http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/d0/f2/0,,10284~3535568,00.jpg[/img]
  18. Must have been a hard paper round!
  19. Well the ballot for tickets is tomorrow. I'm hoping less than the allocation have applied. Fingers crossed. Have supporters clubs been given all the tickets they requested?
  20. http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1218016,00.html
  21. Are you a season ticket holder? If you download a form from www.afc.co.uk and post it asap you might just make it in time for tomorrow's deadline. http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1209001,00.html
  22. Wouldn't miss it for the world! I do get the feeling there are less going than went to Madrid though. Perhaps people are skint because they thought Madrid would be the trip. Some others maybe couldn't get a pass, or time off work.
  23. The club have introduced a facility where season ticket holders can purchase their seat for the cup replay on line: http://www.afc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/clubNewsDetail/0,,10284~1216631,00.html Good idea!
  24. Wondering what sort of crowd we'll get from this. Don't know about anyone else but I can't get through to the ticket office and there are big queues down at Pittodrie. I already have my Bayern ticket but I hope the rush for Bayern ticket eases so people can get tickets for the cup replay. Not sure if it will be worse tomorrow when those with two vouchers can apply for Bayern tickets.
