The players aren't speaking to you Charlie, how about doing your job and trying some journalism for a change instead of expecting to get all your stories from phone calls to your mates at Pittodrie. I agree with K9 regarding a complete ban of anyone from AFC speaking to the rag, but its a bit difficult when WM and JC are employed by Aberdeen Journals.

Mackie and Lovell are both early doubts for next week's cup quarter final.

Who do we blame for missing the three one-on-ones with the keeper seeing as Mackie ain't on the pitch? I think we can do this!!! Mon the Dons!

Pretty sure this has happened before too. Calderwood should do the same. I'm convinced his comments get misrepresented. The article last week about Scott Wilson was a disgrace. Calderwood never even mentioned Wilson but the EE linked us with him anyway!

*puts tin hat on* Sick fed up of Mackie getting boo'd. Doesn't matter what anybody thinks of his abilities, he's clearly low on confidence and booing him is hardly going to help. Its not his fault he's getting a game. What Zander doesn't realise is that folk were cheering because he was going off. Cretins in my opinion.

Not quite sure what to make of him. He has no pace for a winger, but he put in a brilliant cross at 1-1 which Nicholson should have scored with from about 5 yards out.

Good post. I would definitely keep the back 5 for Saturday but the rest of the positions could be up for debate, apart from Nicholson.

Mackie was guilty of some awful play and should have scored at least one, but what did Lovell do all game? I don't remember him doing anything of note at all, and he certainly didn't get himself into any scoring opportunities, but he's treated like some sort of god. Granted our "strikers" were not helped by too many high balls which neither of them are capable of holding up. EDIT: For those of you that weren't at the game, the substitution of Mackie was greeted with huge cheers, but the substitution of Lovell was greeted by huge boos. Unfair in my opinion.

I'll quite happily agree to disagree but I thought he spent most of the game not tracking back and shirking out of challenges and hardly doing anything positive. The amount of times he let his man run past him without chasing back in the first half was shocking.

I definitely think our UEFA cup run will have turned heads down south. We are no longer the big team we used to be, and have probably been unheard of by many for quite some time. This season has put our name back up there in Europe, but our SPL form is atrocious.
