  1. Ginola and Taffarel itching to get back into it. Thierry perhaps still has regrets about being rejected (allegedly) by Alex miller/ Roy Aitken
  2. Dons player scored. Bigger shock
  3. Think that one may be lost on the Kid(s)
  4. Do wonder if a much larger crowd would have turned up at Bramall Lane tonight had the game been played tomorrow, saturday or sunday. 6126 out of a possible 31000 (£15 for adults) with the commentators suggesting it may be because it will be -6C at 2am. Nothing to do with a 7pm kick off on a Thursday and the game being on council tv then
  5. For all the suggestions about great team spirit/ atmosphere in the dressing room early in the season, this group of players really doesnt seem to cope when things start going wrong.
  6. PS for some reason there was a guy with a seriously Pro level TV camera moving about the away end filming the thistle 'ultras' from various positions. Perhaps Danny Dyer is bringing out a new documentry?
  7. Took in todays Morton V Partick match finally ticking Cappielow off the list. Seems the wannabe casual movement among teenagers is gaining momentum with the bizarre spectacle of an attempted battle in the Cowshed between the respective young teams. No cops inside the ground and the stewards being volunteers meant it escalated to the 'fuck we didnt think we'd actually get close enough to fight.....can someone please come and tell us off now?' All calmed down when I presume Morton made a phone call and 2-3 local mums turned up in hi vizes and stood in the gap staring angrily at them On the pitch not having VAR made such a difference making the match actually entertaining despite a fairly strong wind and intermittent monsoon rain. Partick woke up after Morton scored equalising and then looking the more likely only to give up with 5mins to go and then concede in injury time. Post game the young teams tried to start things again but as before werent serious and were easily stopped by 3 cops ie they ran past them onto the bridge but then stopped to wait for one of said coppers to walk up the steps and tell them to stop being wee fannies. And apparently as with SEVCO and tic fans, Thistle's mob also think I look like an undercover cop VID-20241231-WA0010.mp4
  8. Suspect he will still get at least 3 more manager gigs in english leagues before ending up in the national team backroom staff
  9. Quality bbc reporting
  10. Is there some sort of 'Red Dwarf luck virus' that infects Dons Managers for 10-12 games? Robson had a decent run then fell away sharply. Now it's Thelin's turn
  11. Living it up in London town at the mighty Orient
  12. Recall one good save against Dunfermline to stop them going 4-1 up (lets not talk about the 3 other goals) Magennis and an OG got it back to 3-3 with Mawane heading just wide in last minute.
  13. Need to demolish RDS for that. Plus doubt the area of concourse behind it could be reduced without the capacity of the RDS replacement being lower
  14. That idea ended up with a braga style stadium although looking at it 9 years later I think its pie in the sky thinking unless the 'new merkland' had alot of glass to maximise the natural light around it. I wonder if this will also end up on Twitter?
  15. 2030 World cup awarded to Spain, Portugal & Morocco PLUS Argentina, Paraguay, & Uruguay. Despite the last 3 only hosting one game each they all automatically qualify. and in the least suprising announcement 2034 goes to Saudi Arabia
  16. I wonder if the drop in Pittodrie's value as housing means the houses and flats behind and around the merkland, south corner, and carpark are now dropping in value? Other thought is the land earmarked for the new stadium possibly more valueable as housing? Some quick property purchases with deals to include a new home(s) for the adjacent golf club(s) in the stand and maybe pittodrie street's route can be altered freeing up space to replace the main stand with one that meets current regs. Merkland lane is a headache though and all the relocating of utilities, drainage etc.... 13000 seats it is then with capacity raised to 15/16000 if safe standing installed
  17. Anyone read this? Spotted a hardcover copy in a charity shop window today
  18. Are there alot of Broch supporters in Glasgow?
  19. Copa Libetadoris final on BBC Athletico Mineiro vs Botafogo Red card after less than 1minute for Botafogo
  20. Pedantry but Nou Camp currently shut for redevelopment.
  21. Nothing new on the stadium saga im assuming (although keep selling out and a lack of capacity discussion my appear)? Anyway this is apparently Everton's new stadium's answer to Anfield's Kop. The design brief was to get fans as close to the pitch as possible
  22. Id presume group A teams get the 2nd leg at home but then again UEFA probably only do that when a big team is facing relegation. Not sure belgium have done enough to be classed as a big team
  23. Well thats out the window. Just have to make do with schadenfreude watching Wales potentially heading to block B relegation playoff
  24. San Marino promoted to group C!
  25. So consensus from radio scotland is to hope Georgia get a win or draw tomorrow night in Prague (or wherever the Czechs choose to play.) That would put Clarke and Co into pot 2 of the world cup draw
