  1. Because on the same day there is an FA cup semi final plus Arsenal V liverpool both kicking off at 4pm. If our semi goes to extra time and penalties then it would be finished by about 330pm just in time to switch over.
  2. Motherwell losing again If caley bottle it at tanandice then we have the preferbial 6 pointer at Fir Park next saturday. Remaining Fixtures for the top 6 battle Dons - Motherwell (away), Hibs (Home), St Mirren (away), Rangers (home) Motherwell - Dons(home), Arabs (home), Hearts (away) Caley - Arabs (away), Celtic (home), Killie (away), Hearts (home) Hibs - Hearts (home), Celtic (away), Dons (away), Hamilton (home) St Johnstone - Hamilton (away), Kilmarnock (home), Arabs (away), Rangers (home) Top 6 still do-able
  3. I really hope this doesnt turn into a 'If you aint going then yer a dick' bitchfest like the 2000 cup semi final with hibs (sunday 1805pm kick off I believe so only about 5-6000 dons fans made it down)
  4. Yep Emirates have the naming rights to Arsenals stadium until either 2019 or 2020.
  5. Might be an idea to approach Conoco and see if they will move their naming rights to the North East of Scotland since the New Grimsby town stadium is basically dead.
  6. No chance 4 days notice to re-schedule River city and the one show to show the replay of a match they already covered on saturday?! Points of View would be inundated
  7. Dont think anyone would dare try that what with this apparent fixture congestion.
  8. 2-2 at the moment St Johnstone had turned it around but from the sounds of things on Radio Scotland if both we and Brechin get through and are drawn together we are going to get our asses handed to us again at hampden
  9. Seemingly it was also a handball from a Saints player (although I didnt see it) hence why 2 of our players (who were in offside positions infront of the keeper) had their hands in the air b4 mcardle hit it. Horrible moment on BBC was it almost sounded like the whistle went just as Mcardle was about to hit it. Then a few seconds later the commentator said 'the goal stands' Perhaps he had blown for a penalty but then gave the goal?
  10. Mizer & Padre to be up front on Thursday night then?
  11. Middlesbrough fucked over again Only 3 points above the relegation zone and the goal machine that is Kris Boyd has only managed to score 6 this season
  12. I disagree Motherwell are the team we need to concentrate on nicking a top 6 place from and if they had won today they would have a 9 point lead on us meaning we would have to take 10 points form our last 5 games (arabs, Huns, St mirren, Hibs, Motherwell) and hope they lost their last 4 (Killie, Arabs, Us, Hearts). Id say Caley have done us a favour We win at tannadice on monday and we are suddenly only 3 points behind motherwell and 2 points behind Caley
  13. Never let it be said the SFA have their fingers on the pulse
  14. Lennons 6 match ban has now been reduced to 4 games gotta love the timing of that announcement
  15. John sutton might disagree with you there
  16. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/9409649.stm Is Chelsea's training ground in Easterhouse?
  17. If you watch the repay of martins celebration he nearly takes fergusons head off with the last backflip
  18. 2-0 Motherwell - Sutton Penalty Co-commentator just said 'game on'
  19. Not really that experienced in Michael macintyres stuff but as I recall his observational humour is based on general stuff in society which could happen to anyone. Pick up a copy of the metro and make a joke. My experience of Connolly is most of his observational humour comes from his actual experiences or from those who were/are close to him. I predict Macintyre will follow the Lee Evans path and gradually fade away from the limelight (but without the movie career).
  20. Outline planning application for Cove Rangers new stadium and what would appear to be all weather training facilities for both the Dons and cove next to the new ground was put in in mid january. http://planning.aberdeencity.gov.uk/PlanningDetail.asp?ref=110043
  21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WopjCsoDSs Hes apparenlty apologised now
  22. The league game at St Mirren has also been put forward to Wednesday 6th April because one of us will be in the semi -final
  23. West Ham are also suggesting they will be selling off cheap tickets to schools etc so they can at least give it a good go at filling the stadium (Upton Park only holds 35000) There are also apparenlty FA and premier league rules about bigger clubs moving into areas with established clubs so whilst the olympic lot have given them the backing they still need consent from the FA etc to move there.
