  1. Will you still be saying that if he turns up in an arabs or Jambos shirt next season?
  2. 3-2 final score Celtic now a point behind and have 2 away games (Kilmarnock & Hearts) before finishing at home to motherwell Huns have 2 home games (Hearts & Dundee United) and finish at Rugby Park must be a conspiracy.
  3. Wedgies are scotland shame?
  4. Back to the topic in hand http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13238977.stm
  5. http://www.jaxnewsonline.com/2823/royal-wedding-odds-100-1-that-kate-middleton-leaves-prince-william-at-altar.php 'If thats not worth a bet I dont know what is!'
  6. The fans already knew which is why there wasnt a full celebration and the players didnt come back out. QPR are basically promoted unless they lose their next 2 games 3-0 & 4-0 and Cardiff win theirs 3-0 & 4-0. OR they get a points deduction Bonus for me was Plymouth Argyle winning again. Despite a 10 point deduction and on the brink of folding they will definetly stay up if they win their last 3 games.
  7. Perhaps its a case that goalkeepers etc are getting better but about 20 years ago id say the chances of a penalty being saved by any keeper outside of an actual shoot out was less than 10%. Seem to recall it being rare for the outfield player to sky it or hit the post. The fact Mcguire missed today only confirms to me that he is another Darren Mackie. The only difference being he is going to go on tour before either coming back with his tail between his legs or moving to Peterhead/ Montrose etc.

  9. Just watched them on the BBC first one is a penalty but not a red card. Personally I think even a yellow might have been pushing it Second one the tackle happened about 2yards outside the penalty area in the D. There were 2 other united defenders covering too so im not 100% about the red card either. 3rd one - Typical soft rangers penalty but how that is a straight red card is beyond me.
  10. Correct it was in fact Motherwell who actually escaped relegation in 2003 due to falkirks proposed groundshare with Airdrie being thrown out.
  11. Think the SFA should reveal how much profit (if any) they make from semi-final crowds like today.
  12. Designed with retractable seating so it is actually a proper multi-use stadium Had the muppets in charge of the London Olympics not originally planned to dismantle half the stadium to make a permanent smaller athletics venue they could have asked for a similar thing. They could of course have done the running track/ retractable sears thing at Wembley too and not bothered with a new olympic stadium at all. I Predict this new olympic venue will go the same way as the 'White city stadium' within the next 20 years
  13. Mcghees just turned up on STVs football program Maybe Partick fans should start worrying
  14. I personally dont like the idea of 'singing sections' I fear the possible 'excuse me sir but this is the quiet section. If you want to sing or shout you must go sit over there.
  15. Would need to redesign the stadium to have a completely separate upper tier Plus MK dons have the advantae of having an average crowd of 10000 while in league 1. 2 promotions leads to a spell in the premiership were their crowds will double. We on the other hand can only go down
  16. Halt times PSV 2-1 Benfica (3-5) Twente 1-0 Villareal (2-5) Braga 0-0 Kiev (1-1) Full time Spartak Moscow 2-5 Porto (3-10)
  17. How much more than 15k? It was only 17 years ago out average crowd was 15k and we sold out for every old firm match. Then television coverage went through the roof and the clubs started charging over £20 to watch us pay st mirren or livingston. lack of ambition would be to propose a stadium which would have a finished capacity of 15000. Building one that is 15k with the potential for a quick extension to 20k in a few years should we start selling out would be the cautious dare I say sensible option. Building a 20k stadium when crowds are falling all over the country (Even the Huns and tic are about 10k down) is living in denial as far as im concerned
  18. PSV 2-0 up on Benfica after only 25mins 3-0 is enough to put them through Think Braga just had a player sent off too The dream of 3 portuguese teams in the semi-finals possibly coming to an end? Porto are already through after humping spartak 5-2
  19. I gave it a 2 but that is probably down to my feelings about the whole club at the moment. I cant remember the last time I even bothered to watch the highlights on the BBC web page. Personally i think they have actually made it too big to begin with. It is too small to host something like the UEFA cup final, There is no chance of us getting our act together to put a proper bid in the the Euros, Scotland seem to be permanantly based at Hampden now except for the odd friendly which could be played at any SPL (and some division 1 grounds), and because of Aberdeens location its only chance of being a league cup semi-final ground would be if Caley played St Johnstone. With our average crowd dangerously close to (not already) below the 10000 mark and scottish football getting worse by the season Im concerned we might end up like Darlington. Id have made the new stadium 15000 max to start with clear plans on how it could be expanded to 20000 or more should it be required)
