  1. Financial fair play is a joke. You are allowed to make losses of up to 30million euros over a season as long as the owners can cover it. It curtails the clubs at the very top slightly. Hence why Neymar is stuck at PSG despite Barcelona wanting him back, but for most clubs it doesn't mean anything.
  2. I know a lot of you saying that Jess is a surprise but as a younger (ish) supporter him and Leighton are the only two on this list I actually remember playing for Aberdeen. Maybe that's why Jess is on there because it makes it more relevant to my generation.
  3. Is it not partly that hes starting to lose his pace? I would say the same of Mcginn recently, still a good player but not as mobile as he once was. They are both in there 30's now.
  4. Not disagreeing with you really, We were horrible to watch. I made the comment 10 mins into the second half when I thought we at least showed signs of picking it up. But like I said the application levels dropped off again.
  5. I'm not saying its good. Its just an observation that we were starting to get stuck in at the start of the second half. Anyway we dropped off again towards the end and if Celtic had been more clinical they could have added more. Really poor performance. Bryson looked OK when he came on is the only positive.
  6. Looking more up for it the second half, At least we are fighting and winning the ball now. Still not a single shot though...
  7. Two sided coin, McInnes has brought in the sports science. It didn't exist before he arrived and if we are to blame him for the current injury crises should we also complement him on this never having occurred before over his 6 years in charge? I think the point made above is a good one. There are reasons to be unhappy with some of the things McInnes is doing but blaming him for the injury crises is just being unreasonable.
  8. I imagine there is a lot of people who are on the fence at this point. I'm not in favor of sacking him yet. But I would concede that we do need to improve. I can see that DM has flaws but I am not convinced that another manager could necessarily come in and do a better job. My thinking is that we are in the middle of a re-building job. There has been a few reasonable quality additions over the summer but they will need time to gel together and the current injury situation is not helping. I hope that when/if Bryson gets up and running his experiance in the middle of the park will help some of the younger players develop. Like I say I concede we need to do better as we have been going downhill for a while now and we need to arrest that. If there is no sign of improvement before the end of the season I think that would be the time to think about getting rid of McInnes.
  9. I have to admit this is the thing that frustrates me most about McInnes. Whether this is true or not the young players are not stupid they can see that there is a lack of first team opportunitys. No doubt he has blooded young players over the last few seasons a bit more, but he still seems to be afraid of doing it in certain positions. I dont understand why this is either as the youngsters have done well when they come in usually. The last player to come off the bench and turn a game around... how about Bruce Anderson vs Kilmarnock.
  10. Jack Ross just been sacked by Sunderland. Hasn't got them promoted but still didn't do too badly only lost 2 out of 14 competitive games this season. Might be a good option if we do get someone else in.
  11. Must be getting confused with someone else I thought he was from here. Still Kirriemuir is a lot closer to Aberdeen then it is Glasgow.
  12. I never realised that, presumed he was an Aberdeen fan since he was a local loon. Its annoying how all the decent footballers coming through seem to be OF fans.
  13. I don't think he would go to Celtic, I just get the feeling hes more ambitious then that.
  14. Its the exact same as we were against Sachere. And you seen the difference when we opened up and attacked them. I don't know why McInnes keeps persisting with a system that's not working.
  15. Well that's the window closed for English clubs. So it looks like Scott will be with us for at least another 6 months.
  16. I'm wondering if it will make any difference to the way we negotiate these add on clauses. It seems Bournemouth turned down effectively £20 million at least for him. That would have been £4 million for us. Could we put in clauses that if they get an offer they reject we would be due a percentage of the highest offer when they leave on a free?
  17. Bit disappointing to see no action on Ryan Fraser. Unlikely we will get anything for him now.
  18. Will probably be a difficult game. I expect us to set up quite defensively tonight. I think its important we get the away goal so Id take a score draw.
  19. I remember that it would have been Bourdoux if we had beaten Kairat Almaty. Not an easy draw but we would have been in with a chance.
  20. I think its hard to draw a conclusion without knowing whats gone on behind the scenes. If McKenna has indicated he wants a transfer away privately before now then maybe he feels he needs to force the issue. If we have really had offers of £5 million+ with a decent sell on then we should sell him.

  22. Great performance all round! Very excited for the rest of the season now.
  23. He will probably go 3-5-2. Which isnt my preference just whati think is likely. Should mean we will be a bit more open which could be dangerous but i expect we will have enough to get the job done.
