With his goal scoring record it would perhaps be better if he has been bought in to play on the wing. I thought he was taller then 5'11 it must be because of his physicality.

Presumably main will play alongside cosgrove winning the ball and laying it off to him then? To be fair May doesnt offer us that option. I would have liked to see someone who could play up front on there own coming in.

Cant say im excited about this signing but i presume hes came in as an inexpensive back up. If thats the case he might not be a bad squad player.

I wouldnt say Hearts are having a go like. They have been pretty defensive. Its the worst ive seen Celtic play for years. I hope they do appoint Lennon but id be surprised if they do based on this performance.

I hope that the names that are mentioned so far are just squad fillers. I dont really see the point in Main when we have Stevie May. And Ash Taylor isnt a step up but is a half decent back-up. Mcinnes does sometimes pull something out of nowhere. Im hoping hes got a couple of decent signings lined up that we are not expecting.

Gauld was injured most of the time. Going by some hibs fans comments they were saying he needed to get back up to the pace and physicality of the game here. They did say he looked to have great vision and was technically very good.

Ten Caat, why is it that you think Cosgrove has such a low ceiling. He has all the physical attributes and even a bit of pace. I know his touch could be better at times but its an area he could easily get better at. I would say hes like a better version of Josh Magennis, and look how well hes done.

I see Liverpool are now being linked with Ryan Fraser. It looks like we could get a good wedge if a bidding war starts. Hopefully we reinvest a decent chunk of it.

Also argueable that he hasnt had the best service. I think getting some decent wide players will help us greatly.

I dont get why everyone is soo keen to get rid of cosgrove. Ok, 7of his goals were penaltys but even still thats 13 goals this season. Think about how many forwards have we had over the last few seasons who have struggled to get more then 5. I dont know why everyone here seems to think its so easy to pick up someone who can score goals.

Will it be up to him though. Could be up to the club. Either way this is why we will struggle to compete with Rangers and Celtic. They will sign up all the talent in the league and bench them.

More to the point for us now. If derby do win that could likely make Max Lowe unlikely to feature for them. Might even get a chance to sign him.

I would think Rangers will give them a tougher game. I'm more worried about if we can do the business at Easter road.

Is it not a league rule where players returning from loans are illegible at this stage of the season? Im sure a team was docked points for it before (think it was dundee utd).

I think the situation we are in as a club dictates that we have to try and develop players who have talent but are not the finished article. I don't understand why some people are so keen to get shot of Cosgrove, he is still a young guy with great potential. Wilson hasn't been worth the money we have been paying him this season but I would say if we can get him in on a squad player salary we should give him a short deal to see if we cant get the talent that is there out of him. There is no guarantee that we can sign anyone better. Look at Forrester this season and Stevie May last. We spent over 600k on the two of them and we have had very little in return. Johnny Hayes was hot and cold when he joined us but developed into a great player and I think that we are going to have to put faith in the players we have got to an extent. Hopefully we could bring in a couple of quality signings in the summer but there will inevitably be duds.

Wilson certainly shows flashes of brilliance. I often think even if hes not scoring he could do a job on the wing for us. Its just consistency that seems to be his problem perhaps getting him back next season with familiar surroundings and a bit less pressure would allow him to find some form.

Ill correct myself before anyone else notices my maths error. Its not quite 1 million at £12 x 6000 but seeing as a lot of people are signed up to give £18 I think its fair to assume that it is over £1million. I think fan ownership would be the best solution for us long term. I have to admit when I hear about these investors putting money into the club sometimes it feels like positive news. But what club has it ever worked out for? The fact is that the fans will always be with the club well after these investors have lost interest. Im actually surprised that it hasnt been touted more with the mess the club has been under wiggy over the last 25-30 years.
