  1. Ever the optimist!
  2. Griffiths and McBurnie coming on.
  3. In the after match interview McInnes said it was a hamstring issue which doesn't sound promising...hopefully it's just a tightening of the hammie and not a strain. He also said Edmondson took a "sore one"...being bundled in the running track and up against the hoardings would be fairly sore!
  4. They ran out of steam in the last 20 and didn't make any subs (only had 4 on the bench including a GK).
  5. Why didn't you...part-time supporter. Oh, wait a minute...my short-term memory is kicking in.
  6. Just keep your fingers crossed that Hoban has a change of luck and doesn't get injured otherwise that will be the pairing - Hoban/Consi with a proper LB would be a better option.
  7. If the idea was to pair McKenna and Taylor and then McKenna was pulled out McInnes should have played Hoban from the start...as you say Taylor is reasonable when someone solid is beside him but in a back 3 he's a nightmare especially when he's flanked by a non-RB and a non-LB. Thought McCrorie had a really poor game today, right from the start his passing was wayward...he's definitely better suited to playing in midfield.
  8. Just depends on how well his hammy holds up...couple of bad tears already and he's only 23.
  9. Well the actual law states that "it is not an offence if the ball touches a player's hand/arm directly from the player's own head or body (including the foot) it is not an offence" so neither should have been given.
  10. When was the last time that happened? Bobby Clark and Joe Harper on with Rob McLean on Red TV....marvellous!
  11. Yes, we were as good as we needed to be. Hopefully Sam takes a long time to recover because we look much better playing football instead of hoofball.
  12. No idea what you are on about (and really don't care) but just start up another thread and leave this one for Dons fans who want to talk about the game.
  13. McCrorie looks excellent...we should just buy him outright now (just in case those c*nts realise what they're letting go).
  14. So any predictions on the lottery numbers next week.
  15. 3 match ban for all, suspended until Feb '21 and only comes into effect if they re-offend. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish-fa/football-governance/disciplinary/disciplinary-updates/ SFA in sensible shocker!
  16. I thought it should have been Ash Taylor.
  17. He sounds very much like a former poster on Aberdeen-mad...posted as Jack Jarvis - troll, racist, sexist. Best ignored.
  18. McKenna's back-heeler in the "stramash in the box" probably qualifies as a effort on target!
  19. Totally agree...our idea of turning defence into attack is to pass it back to Joe and have him punt it up field to 5' 8" Anderson and wonder why he doesn't win the ball. Our only footballing midfielder is McGinn and he's hardly ever played there.
  20. Having more competitive preseason games should only come into effect in the last 20 mins or so not the first 20 and then the next 20 etc. Have to admit that the watching it live thought it was a red card but after seeing the replay the other guys attempt to win the ball was two-footed and off the ground but we can't appeal on the basis that both should have been sent off! Thought Anderson, as someone else has posted, was hung out to dry today...if you are forced to play a small striker then keep the ball on the ground and get the midfield players close to him, but then our midfield would have to get the ball in the first place and, even when we did, we looked shell-shocked and didn't know what to do with it...pass it back to McKenna or, in Ojo's case just pass it to anyone else. The only plus, I thought, was Hernandez, who looked a decent footballer and used his body well on a couple of occasions.
  21. That's a overstatement. Even passing 5 yards seems beyond him.
  22. Any reason given for Pearson's sacking? Seems a weird piece of timing, as you say, they're not clear of relegation yet.

    Coronavirus

From Guardian online today (and this is only figures for England) - 28m ago English death toll rises by 367 to 1,651 14:47 A total of 1,651 people who have tested positive for coronavirus in England have died, up 367 from 1,284 on Monday, NHS England said. Looks like saying social distancing was working is a little premature
