  1. I also thought when Snelders was injured, we had 2 decent stand in keepers in Mimms & Dibble, thought they both did well .
  2. Badly in need of midfielders 2 or mabye even 3, dont think Campbell is quite ready yet for a start ( but he will) Hoping & praying we somehow manage to get Lowe on loan again , & also hoping Hoban returns to fitness & to us. Width badly needed in team , especially if G.M.S goes, which looks likely, McLennan is very hot & cold just now, nobody should be a stick on starter every week, regardless of form. New striker required.
  3. Totally agree with all these sentiments, remember his first game at Pittodrie, only rangers. Billy gets the crowd immediately on his side, wearing a red shirt & a red tie , Beach End singing "There's only one King Billy that's McNeill" Trying to think of who all came in while Billy was in charge, certainly Archibald (30k Clyde) sold £800k Spurs, Strachan (40k Dundee) , Ian Fleming ? Dom Sullivan ? all around that period. Was quoted as saying, he loved his time in Aberdeen & really should have stayed longer. Great player, manager & came across as a real gentleman. R.i.p Billy
  4. So would i, every day of the week, great servant.
  5. Aye , karma that the big horse Broadfoot was sent off, utter thug who targeted Cosgrove from the off. It was obviously Clarke's gameplan to kick lumps out of us & so they did for the majority of the game. No surprise to see the red cards appear for continual fouling. Yes, Cosgrove lost it , hardly surprising, given his treatment, glad D.M had the sense to replace him though, Wilson didnt look much interested though, apart from one burst into the box late on, when he should have made it 2 0. Huge 3 points though, cant see us not finishing 3rd tbh! Thought Hulford looked quite assured when he came on, how come he hasn't featured till now ? & giving his top to the crowd Not a great performance, but an important win, eye bleeding stuff though, take it, the reason Stewart wasn't in the squad was he was in talks with them ? Lot of important players missing for us,so all things considered ,satisfying
  6. T.C surely the huge difference in wages , would be an issue ? 50/60% cut most probably
  7. I remember this topic, many years ago, when his goals tally was increased from 199 to 205, i seem to remember his final goals for club were against Cowdenbeath ?
  8. If there is any possible chance of us getting Lowe on a permanent , we have to pursue it, quality player . Same regards Hoban (although a risk) we should go for him. Strange how we havnt heard back from Joe S from St.J, probably wants to be guaranteed a place every week. We need more striking options i feel & a playmaking midfielder. Dont think we will see GMS in a dons shirt again & it looks like Shinnie (who looks back to his best) will be off.
  9. Shocking fayre from both sides for around an hour, especially Dundee who are really dire. Couldnt believe D.M subbed McGinn, one of our better players, Stewart was really shocking. 2 top dons for me (same as midweek) were Lowe & Shinnie. Decent dons following considering & poor Dees support. Sitting just along from Dean Campbell, hadnt realised he was injured Good to see young Ross get a runout at the end. In the end, 3 or 4 0 wouldnt have flattered us.
  10. Aye, good luck Mark although i feel he will be playing Championship football again next season, disagree with T.C, dont think Utd are good enough to beat St.Mirren,Dees or Hamilton.
  11. Phew ! could be a huge 3 points that, never felt totally comfortable till Niall hit that sublime winner. Man of the match was surely between Lowe & Shinnie though. Ends up the weather wasnt too bad after all & the crowd was better than i expected. Motherwell are a big, physical well organised side & for a while we were lumping high balls up to Cosgrove, which they coped with fairly well. Must admit, wasn't confident before game & when it went to 1 1, i feared the worst. Thought young Campbell did quite well till subbed but McLennan struggled. Good win though, another win at Dens please.
  12. Think we are looking at a lowest of the season crowd & i have to say Motherwell have a habit of hitting us for 3, hope i'm wrong on both counts, but i will be surprised if we take all 3 points on Wed. Would like to see May start as i think we miss his workrate. Also wouldnt mind seeing young Campbell starting.
  13. He will move there no doubt, Stewart looking a shadow of the player he was at Killie or Dundee, anonymous again yesterday. Seems to be D.M seems to be able to stifle anyones abilities. They will get the best out of him no doubt. As things stand at the moment, we look as though we are going to be losing at least 4 of our better players in Summer in Stewart,G.M.S, McKenna & Shinnie.
  14. The guy looks a class act when fit, bit of a gamble admittedly given his injury record. For what its worth , i think he is worth the gamble. If there is any chance getting the likes of Hoban or Lowe on a permanent deal , we have to take it i.m.o. As someone else says, if a pay per play deal was possible that would surely be ideal.
  15. I would be more than happy with a proposed permanent deal for Dom Ball, versatile player who has arguably been our best performer for last couple of months
  16. Decent player. This is the market we should be looking in.
  17. Horrible conditions today, we huffed & puffed but had no real quality. Livi never gave us any time on the ball & to be honest we had no answer, thought we did better 1st half than we did 2nd, wee bit of tiredness mabye after midweek ? As usual Derek waited too long to make the substitutions & i thought he took of the wrong man in McGinn, who was doing ok in my book, Cosgrove was very poor & he was all over the shop, Shinnie was poor too , thought Ball & McKenna were all right, but we missed Considine, Devlin wasn't great. Expected to see us kick on after half time, never happened. Bad day at office
  18. The Borussia Monchengldbach team that beat us at pittodrie were a class act.
  19. Considine has been a rock for 3 or 4 seasons to be fair
  20. Waiting for my loon to get home from paradise :laughing:in his windowless bus According to him 1st half pretty dire but much better 2nd half, could have won it at end, with May chance. His top red was Ball & Dean Campbell very good when he came on. Decent point
  21. According to Fridays ee, McGinn,G.M.S & Stewart are all doubts for tomorrow.
  22. I will join your "had a bad feeling after Accies game, but somehow feeling confident now " gang, 2 0 dons tomorrow & another red card for the Colombian rodent.
  23. Hows about Heinz steamed puddings with custard obviously
