  1. Started watching 5mns before ht, mainly to see how big Scott was getting on. Good to see G.M.S & Shinnie on 2nd half, nice little back heel from Gary for consolation goal, game should have been played in Edinburgh or Aberdeen. Portugal light years ahead of us,of course, so result no real surprise.
  2. Not only did he not score, he actually stopped a goalbound shot last season.
  3. How on earth did that finish only 4 1, an understrength dons were still miles ahead of a poor St.Mirren side, even their goal was a gift from Gleeson. Thought Mcllelan had a good game, as did Ball,Shinnie,Lowe & Cosgrove. Cosgrove did very well at 1st goal Quite disappointed it was only 4 1 tbh, it was so one sided.
  4. Gave it a miss yesterday for a change, just seen highlights on Sportscene, Jeez that was a chance & a half when G.M.S broke through, just needed a wee dink over keeper, McGinn's shot was pretty close. Loon was at the match, said it was the best we had played down there for a long time. Luckily the gruesome twosome are not too far ahead of us, hopefully we will steadily climb the table, need to get some more creativity & scorer in team soon, should help having Ross & Wright back soon.
  5. The main reason i left Ab mad were those diabolical adverts, drove me insane Was one of the more regular posters on there.
  6. Pity, would like to have seen more of him. Looked pretty decent early doors.
  7. Phew ! that's all, 2 missed chances in e.t from May & McGinn, great pen. save from big Joe. Well taken pens apart from Nialls
  8. Should have signed him up, comes into the bracket, of good/very good players who have been at Pittodrie & not been played to their strengths & out of position ie. out wide (see also Rooney) For what its worth, i think McGinn should have had a free role playing off main striker & Scott Wright should be terrorising defences by now, week in /week out. Getting kind of bored watching us match up to teams, when we could be ripping them apart.
  9. Long 90mns, where t.b.h at times we were 2nd best, at times we play some decent stuff, but far from fluent. One great save from Lewis late on , lot of overhit passes & clearances from us all day though. Happy with 3 points though as they are a big, powerful, well organised team & hard to beat. My m.o.t.m was probably G.M.S , McGinn faded out again after a brightish start, great pass through for a well taken goal by Wilson. Young Anderson missed a sitter 2nd half to kill the game. Just happy to get the 3 points t.b.h!
  10. Biggest imposter of a manager we have ever had surely ? well at least a tossup between him & Paterson. We would surely have been relegated if we had held on to him much longer I actually hate this guy now, considering as a player we loved him. I was in Section B of the Main Stand, the night he claimed he was spat on, jeez there was hardly anyone left still in the ground to spit on him, i actually waited to see his reaction after the defeat, i can assure you it never happened. Also under his tenure, i witnessed 2 of our worst, gutless, pathetic performance witnessed in my 50 years of going. Throw in his reluctance to take the job, until another one had gone to someone else, fair to say, he never endeared himself to some of our support from day 1.
  11. Thought Shinnie was shocking 1st half, improved after h.t
  12. T.C , ive watched it again on t.v (alba), defo pen.for us as G.M.S was fouled, i wouldnt quite say disasterous quite yet, long way to go, players to return, hearts will fall, hibs no great shakes, celtic stuttering. Was disappointed with our recruitment in the summer with only really Devlin & Ferguson looking the part. Where was Ferguson today ?
  13. Not long back, Cosgrove was far more effective than May, as was young Anderson, May really was abysmal. Shocker of a performance 1st half, much better 2nd half probably as a result of a right rocket at h.t. Shinnie,McGinn & G.M.S all much better after the break, Gleeson decent enough on ball, but very slow, Forrester just nah! Well on top at the end & if game had gone another 5-10mns we would probably have won, too little too late.
  14. I'm in the same boat re p.a.t.g, apparently dons fans in usual end are now transferred to opposite end, folk without tkts will be housed in West (main)Stand, probably advisable to arrive in plenty of time, especially as diversions in Perth are in place. Was going to leave at 12.45, thinking of leaving at 12 now
  15. Yes Elgin, that's normally the script, pay at the gate & sit in the end nearest the main car park, dons fans with tickets in opposite end. Intending to drive aswell, safely leave at 12.30/12.45.
  16. Been going to Pittodrie for 50 years now, but really now starting to think 'what's the point', the game is full of corruption. Was always obvious the beaks favoured 2 teams, but this has moved onto another level.
  17. Killie played quite well to be fair, mind you they had 14 men, we had 10
  18. Thought that left back Lowe looked a class act today, pity he is only here for a few months.
  19. Lets see if i can get suspended before end of September
  20. Well, wasnt that utter bollocks ? Nice day, decent crowd & decent debut from Lowe, right that's the positives out the way. The ineffective McGinn should have been hooked way before he was, May isn't doing it, Shinnie isnt at races (& got a stupid booking to boot). Ridiculous sending off of course, Thompson loves to send on of us off, only surprise it wasn't Considine. We were badly needing fresh legs in 2nd half, why Anderson wasn't on earlier & Ross not at all is a total mystery. We look totally clueless going forward & of course we carry zero goal threat. Very bad day at the office
  21. Derby lad Lowe looks a touch of class, only positive from today.
  22. Be a right blow if the rumours are true about Wilson doing his hamstring, hopefully see the new lad from Derby start, but options up front already light ,now much lighter Tbh think we have made a pigs ear of this window, hopefully keep up our good record against Killie, but cant say i'm too confident.
  23. If rumours are to be believed, Wilson has done his hamstring, nightmare if true
