It’s easy to say if we’d been braver, what does that mean? Be more attack minded, push forward more? But then do you get exposed at the back and lose a goal? We also consider a few of these boys aren’t totally match sharp or match fit as they haven’t played much of late, and it’s two games in 4 days. Do we sit in or push up and get back more? home and away is psychological but not fully. Same reason I’d prefer Aberdeen playing at pittodrie vs away to st mirren, fans, stadium get up, field size, certainly weather and temperature, travel, hotels, wet/dry pitch, length of grass, even type and brightness of floodlights at night, all a factor. Plus home dressing room, food, and home comforts. All adds up to something. We’re not that different to the team that beat the Danes 2-0 at hampden, different mentality and performance, and a home environment, and given we play them last we may have a very similar need to win.

He’s coming back from injury again, not sure how match fit he even is.
-
Read that frame impressed too. Lazetic scored a panenka penalty haha!
-
Anyone at the game? Keen for some info on the new boys.

From what I’ve seen to date, and it’s a very small sample size, aouchiche doesn’t know quite where to play, and we’re not certain what to do with him. He roams a lot, and we need a 10 more central and wiser. Put Armstrong behind lazetic/nisbet and I think he’s the missing piece and fills that central space, aouchiche will only benefit from his knowledge. I think Armstrong will be more settling and disciplined in many ways. I think milanovic benefits playing with Armstrong inside and nisbet up top, instead of two young guys trying to figure things out and prove themselves. as you say, trying not to get my hopes up with karlsson but when you look at the falkirk game I think topi had 2 chances and milanovic 2 first half, most cutting in, no goals. Based on the highlights I think we’ve got a guy who finds the net. international break is good for us, gives us time to train and gel, don’t think too many are away too. Certainly excited for the livi game.

Yup. Not really what we need in my opinion other than Scottish and experienced. Guess we’ll find out!
-
To be fair to him, he is younger than shinnie and nilsen! is he still an attacking mid or does he sit deeper these days??

Some cracking goals. Pretty much a right footed inverted winger, certainly moves ahead of topi on the left. Wouldn’t mind topi on the right anyway, although i think milanovic has played better than topi season to date. good two weeks to get the squad to train and gel, really intrigued by karlsson and lazetic in particular. What kind of shape is nisbet in??
-
Not being greedy, but since we didnt sign a central midfielder, I really would like to see what Kjarten can do. We have nisbet and lazetic fighting for the 9, yengi as backup, and 5 competing for the 3 attacking mids, 6 if you include polvara. Decent depth.
-
I havent seen Jesper quoted as saying he’s looking forward to developing a strong partnership with yengi? not a bad window overall, guess we saved Turnbull until January!
-
Re wages, wasn’t the same said about nisbet? If there’s a relationship with jimmy, win bonuses, goal/assist bonuses, signing in fee etc, there’s a way to make it work.
-
Him and Turnbull. Pull those two off and wholly fuck! Especially when nisbet frame and Turnbull are Scottish. Funds from Morris gueye and Boyd, plus give bologna the fergie sell on, and maybe a few quid more, it’s doable. In fantasy land most likely. Both are still young enough for a bigger transfer down the road too. Unlikely but spend 5 mins on the hat you get more than excited!
-
I still haven’t given up on Alan Gow!
-
Kinda my thinking. Sokler has had his chances, time to move him on, hale is a good replacement for Sokler and dabbagh. Lazetic replaces nisbet and we have Ambrose and yengi. Like it or not, yengi isn’t going anywhere and is in our ‘3 striker’ front line. very small glimpse but lazetic looked decent yesterday.
-
Curious to see what today brings. Has to be at minimum 3. Winger, CM, and forward. I’d be happy with 3 loans rather than 3 panic buys. curious to hear the responses, would you be happier with hale or nisbet? I will be disappointed if it’s nisbet tbh, I’m not a fan. allan Campbell, Mikey Johnson, and hale???

Bit harsh, thought falkirk were decent. They didn’t come to sit in, plus built out the back quite well. They do what we can’t, they advance the ball from defense to midfielders (central) who move the ball up field. Far too often we’re sideways and backwards then long ball. topi and milanovic were aggressive first half and both had scoring chances. Where they fail is they don’t blow by the full back (like morris would) so always seemed to be under pressure. Polvara was non existent and we really lacked the presence of a 10 first half. Topi also reminds me a bit of duk, low footie IQ and not much of a team player. said it before, until we have a 9 who can combine with the other attacking three we’ll struggle, although thought lazetic looks intriguing. A good two weeks training, plus hopefully a commanding and mobile, and experienced central mid, will help. was thinking at one point today how young and inexperienced we are, and Scottish fibs requires street smarts and experience. Our front 4 are lazetic milanovic adil, and topi, with potentially clarkson deep. We must have a mobile old head leading the way from both center midfield balance and central defense. I worry we’re far too young, naive, and soft, especially with Delvin shinnie and sivert bit part players
-
Yengi is shite but lazetic gives me hope. It’s center mid that is my concern. If we have three attacking mids/flair players behind a striker we need two work horses behind them. Our center mid is totally off and that’s the biggest problem. I’d say shinnie and sivert 5 years ago would have been the answer. Fix that and more chances and goals will come, plus we’ll be better defensively. Until we fix center mid we’ll always struggle. As was commented before, we had Ferguson, then Rama, and nothing since.
-
On field leadership from this player as well. Bunch of followers at present.
-
I’ll also add that polvara had a huge opportunity today, game at home against one of the weaker teams, and playing centrally. He did so little to get involved, that’s the polvara jimmy said isn’t aggressive enough. Opportunity lost there, doesn’t take advantage of the start when given it. Next.
-
The red totally changed the game, we had chances first half, yengi had chances, and milanovic and topi had decent efforts. Better team until the red, but I will say even in the first half falkirk were decent. Second half we just let falkirk dictate and they deserved the win.
-
Not sure we can pick up anyone special by the end of tomorrow, but we do lack a central midfield presence. Sivert has the personality but he’s passed it, someone like him to dictate a game as we saw early last season.
-
Disappointing day. Looked decent until the red. Another game where, obviously with my red tinted specs, were very hard done by with the red, plus the inclusion of var and a wrong decision, and it totally changes the game. positive, lazetic looked technical, athletic, and quick.

Mini chances but awful set pieces and nothing created. We look like a bunch of players recently brought together, little cohesion and chemistry. Minimal/nothing being created.
