  1. Also, if this player, or another of his ilk, played for us they'd be constantly suspended. They get away with this style of play for Thistle, ICT, Hearts.... whoever, for us..... nae so much. As mentioned, Shinnie has been booked nine times. How many of those bookings were justified? How many times would Mutant Face have been booked for similar tackles?
  2. Stoney born and raised but moved to the Highlands in 1992. I probably ken yer faither. Fit like?
  3. Oh aye, there's fool undertones there, like a ferret up a drainpipe.
  4. It's a shite state of affairs when Oxford can be, potentially, financially more lucrative than the team that's second in the top Scottish League.
  5. By the cringe, that would tak a bit o' stroopin'. Fuck aye.
  6. Ye couldnae mark that hoor's neck wi a bayonet.
  7. Close to half the boys on that team line I wouldnae recognise if I found them in my soup. I'd recognise Morrison, cos I mindonce thinking he looked a bit like Andy Dow, Cooper, Cairney, Rhodes....Anya I'd mebbe get cos of his hair, the lad Robertson....... I must've seen him play for the jooooot, but I couldnae pick him oot of a line-up. The boy Rhodes.......his Dad was that goalie for Dunfermline and St Johnstone, he was English? Was his Ma Scottish or did he "assimilate" cos he went to the school up here?
  8. Sweet Baby Jesus and the orphans.......
  9. I had mixed feelings. Some o' the flavours were fine, but if you crunched them ower quick they were hoorin' sharp. No.......Hud on, that was Spangles. Dundee United..........No,nae ringing a bell.
  10. Fuck aye.
  11. Jaysus, seems a lot of bars I used to quaff in are nae longer there.
  12. Fit's happened to the Thumb? Is he still injured?
  13. Embarrassment and these are nae frequent bedfellows. See "self-awareness" also.
  14. Thanks very much darling, let's have a cup of coffee.
  15. The Harry Wraggs always seem to carry a respectable away support, sad thing is, these days they seem to have a ceiling of circa 2-2.5 K for home games. I recall back in the day they had a massive "sleeping" support, but that seems to have gone for burton. I guess a lot down to the shifting demographic of the locality in which they're based.
  16. If Osman played for us he'd be permanently suspended. We don't get away with players like that playing for us.
  17. I dinna hae a good feeling about this one. We've made heavy weather of the Harry Wraggs this season and with the injuries...... Hope I'm wrang like.
  18. I'd be feart, but I'd have a dart. Wouldnae gie her my real name and mebbe ask her to wear a burka just for the craic.
  19. There is a chance our paths crossed, I was a more regular visitor back in the early/mid 90s.
  20. It'll be 25 years this October since I left the St Tropez of the North East for the Highlands (being a Stoney loon born and raised) so I doubt our paths would've crossed therein? Oddly, the last time I crossed paths with him would've been in the Station (I used to be a stalwart for the Station darts team many, many moons ago) on a visit hame about a year ago (a pattern emerges.......). He got in touch with me since then asking me to compere one of his "Smokers" (I'm nae sure if him and Mr Beat are still doing as many?) he was doing for Cowie Thistle (my auld fitba team) but sadly I couldnae make it.
  21. Shoulder injury, apparently.
  22. He's a character DC, and nae mistake. Good pal of mine, though I've seen less and less of him last few years living oop North. How did you have the dubious privilege of making his acquaintance? Got to know Billy a wee bit through the aforementioned bro-in-law, and hung with him at a few social functions (as well as enjoying a hungover breakfast at his house after a wedding in Dumbarton many, many moons ago but that's a long story) and he's a genuine toff of a guy. Sad to hear of his health trevails, hope he can get the better of it and have some sort of decent quality of life in his twilight years.
  23. Ah, OK. Prolly wouldnae be an issue unless The Cabbage get to the cup final anyhoo.
