  1. My understanding is that the initial bid was a cash payment of £250K with the additional £250k payable depending on appearances, international call ups etc, which is even more derisory than a straight £500K bid. Second bid was £300K cash etc. No idea on this third bid, but they seem to be under the impression that we need the money.
  2. The main question is, have we signed Christie as a squad player or as a first team shoe in? For as good as Maddison was/is, we've played pretty well without him. Before he went back to Norwich he was benched and we won, reasonably convincingly as well. The balance of the team looked better with players more or less playing in their strongest positions. If we go and disrupt that now then it's a bit of a kick in the steens for somebody, unless we are away to lose McGinn or Hayes or Considine or Jack or all of the above. Hard to see the logic for it at this point, but maybe come the end of the window it will make a bit more sense.
  3. You are seriously comparing the tims temporarily moving to a stadium 3.5 miles away in the same city to us hypothetically trying to arrange a ground share with a team 66 miles away in a different city.

    Landlord

Are those not the requirements if the property was going to fall under the HMO requirements? A 2 bed flat wouldn't require to fall under the HMO guidelines. We had a 3 bedroom house in pretty much the same sounding area, which we rented out while I was working overseas. Never had any problems getting student nurses in, but it was an HMO and as such the requirements were quite a pain in the hoop.
  5. To redevelop Pittodrie would also be a logistical nightmare. For all that would need doing, what would the plan be? Shut down one stand at a time to redevelop? How long would that take. I also imagine that the rules around planning approvals concerning infrastructure, accessibility etc have also changed in the years since Pittodrie was built, so would we even be guaranteed that our local council (fuckwits) would approve any major redevelopment of the existing site?
  6. Cardiff came in with the same offer, just structured differently. Brilliant strategy that. Listen you welsh wallopers, we're not financially cash strapped, so do one.

    Brewdog...

Bravo to the artist, but, if you're going to paint a picture like that before they started building the cooncils latest monstrosity (how did that land deal go again) then you'd maybe have artistically removed the blue fencing infront of Provost Skenes House

    Brewdog...

hmmmm....https://upa.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/online-applications/simpleSearchResults.do?action=firstPage Looks like a list of planning applications there. What are the restrictions around what can and can't be erected without requiring planning application?

    Brewdog...

I personally like Brewdog. I like the majority of their beers, I think they've done a lot for the overall "craft beer" market and they throw an exceptionally good bash at the yearly AGM. However, I do think that they've overstepped the line a bit with this one. Probably could have been handled better. Dealing with any council is generally a painful legislative nightmare, but pissing them off isn't going to help matters. Not quite sure where you're getting your info about them "continually putting up Silos and add-ons without the relevant planning permission"
  10. Low seven figures....aye just the 4 million?
  11. Officially starting to get concerned about this window now. McInnes quoted as saying "we do not need to sell but...." If Cardiff come up with anything comprising of 7 figures before the decimal point then we'll sell Hayes, I have no doubt about that. McGinn also looks as though he could be off, although there's been nothing since the Hearts rumor. Start shifting boys on then it's going to impact the balance of the squad and selling those 2 is going to see us struggle to get second and potentially a Euro spot.
  12. So, the first official confirmation that Cardiff have asked about Hayes. No bid tabled but they are interested. I was quite happy to ignore it all as I hadn't seen any official quotes from either club. Be interesting to see if they do test our resolve with a decent offer.
  13. Was in London a good few years ago with the wife and we ended up in one of his places, thought it was pretty decent, but then again we were a bit boozy. Made the mistake of going to the one in Aberdeen a couple of years back, truly dreadful. Never good to see more folk being paid off though and yet another empty unit to sit alongside the Marischal Square development. Maybe we can persuade a mobile phone shop and a bookies to take up the lease, there's not enough of those in Union Street.
  14. To be fair, Maddisons last couple of games before he was dropped were not his best. Quite a few slack passes and gave away possession. Not that I'm saying none of the other midfielders did any better like. Perhaps a bit of bench time wasn't such a bad thing. It shouldn't be overlooked that we didn't play too bad in those games. Even against hamilton I thought we looked quite sharp going forward both without and with Maddison.
  15. I'd bin Taylor and possibly even Considine, that's no reflection on Andys performances, but it should at least allow Shinnie to play left back. If Pawlett is happy enough to be a fringe player then I'd keep him, but for sure I'd have McGinn signed up in a heartbeat. I'm quite surprised he isn't already signed up, which may be an indication that he feels it's time to move on. Jack, I guess he's probably off, regardless of whether or not we want to keep him.
  16. Absolutely soft as shite on Sunday. I'm just beginning to calm down after that. I left early, I couldn't stand any more of it. A few of our party bailed off at half time and went to a restaurant instead. We would have been better off letting Morton play them, at least the final may have been a more entertaining occasion. I was utterly embarrassed watching that.
  17. Strachans too stubborn, our countries top brass are too weak and spineless. As much as I'd love to see a change I'm not quite sure who will initiate it.
  18. That would have once been the case. Sadly however, over the years the scottish international set up has managed to distance its self further and further away from anything that I feel passionate about. There's no connection. There's nothing about the organisation, the management, the team or even the shorbread tin followers that connects with me anymore. Back in 1999 we watched the first leg at a mates house, there were about 20 of us crammed into his living room. After the defeat we headed into town and it was mental. Masses of folk, all proudly nationalistic despite the defeat. The coppers ended up having to close off some of union street for a while such were the volumes of folk out. It will be interesting to know what union street's like tonight. I'm sure I'm not the only one who just doesn;t give a fuck these days.
  19. I've said it on the other place and I'll say it here, not even the build up of a squad announcement has seen any rekindling of the passion for international fitba in me. This one should be a hit the pub and get totally tanked, nervously watching and hoping, no, praying like fuck that those nigel fuckers don't beat us. I just don't seem to be able to give a fuck. It's a sad, sad state of affairs.
  20. I've no problems with not having any of our squad tainted with the indignity of getting shafted in one of those scotland squads at the moment. I'd prefer it if the little smug cunt in charge came crawling looking for a left back once Wallace inevitably withdraws and he tells him to poke it. Saying that, our manager doesn't think he's the best left back in our fucking squad so why on earth would he get picked there in an international squad?
  21. Disappointing Saturday from start to finish. Poor crowd and quite a flat atmosphere for large parts of the game. McLean can get to fuck. Both of them, the incompetent caaant in charge and the incompetent caaant playing in our No. 7 jersey. Seriously, of all the games I'd have expected that little rat faced hun prick to have put a bit of effort into it would have been against them, wouldn't have been out in the town singing your party songs after that performance you little fucking weasel. Logan...nice little off the ball clip on Browns heels on the SS touchline in the second half. Really wound the neanderthal up no end. Was surprised the ref didn't send Hayes off, but he probably realised that if he sent him off then he'd have to send Brown off as well, only think that saved us finishing with 10 men. Rode our luck but should have equalised. That's what football is all about, stopping them from scoring and then scoring yourself. Doesn;t matter how many they 'should' have scored, they only scored the 1 and we should have finished that level.
  22. Just goes to show how completely disinterested I have become in the national team...I never even knew the slopey headed neanderthal fuck had 'retired' The fact that he now fancies getting himself set off against england sadly makes me completely nonplussed.
  23. Did we pony up the cash up front or just guarantee the money in the event that they went unsold?
  24. the hun will be holding on for Guardiola to get the dunt from city
  25. i still have sky, but that's only because we ditched it and then 2 months later they practically gave it to us for next to nothing....anyway, I digress. The number of games I watch now are getting fewer and fewer. EPL cup or whatever it'd called...no point, weakened teams being forced to play games they don't want to play. Champions League pish, not very often. Will check the scores at some point and maybe a particular game will pique my interest. Scottish games, refuse to watch either of the cheeks....unless they're getting gubbed, which limits my SPFL exposure. Absolute saturation point and a lot of folk clearly starting to feel the same.
