20/21 Loan Player Watch

Thought Al had done one for this season, but turns out it was for the last.

First up, Ethan Ross.  seems to be getting rave reviews at Raith.  Fingers crossed he's given the chance to make the step up into the first team. Like the other two we have out on loan, his contract ends in May 2021 though.

  • It's maybe a bit unfair to make that point now, considering we're posting on a thread about our players that are out on loan and the majority of the youth squad are now being sent out elsewhere to get

  • I get the impression there is with Arbroath as it allows players to still train full time with club.    Not sure there is a plan for style of play however.

  • The player keeping him out of the team is American with an Irish passport, could be another potential loanee coming our way in the future. Was signed by Liverpool as a youth player and his father is n

Seems to be a regular now? How long is his deal with "us"?

2024 according to transfer market site.

ETA - What Al said then. See not true what they say about old age and memory.

Mark Gallagher started Forfar’s game against Formartine but came off injured after 3 minutes.

Conor Barron started Keltys game against St Mirren Colts.

A lengthy Dons career beckons

Conor Barron played full 90 for Kelty Hearts 2-2 draw with Forfar and is credited with an assist for the first goal.

Hernandez down to start for Atlanta v LAFC tonight. On SKY if anyone is bored enough.

Hernandez didn't get off the bench in Atlanta's last game. Looks like he only got a run of games because their first choice RB was injured.

Conor Barron was only one of three players on loan to lower league clubs in Scotland to play today. He played 86 minutes of Kelty’s 1-0 win over Edinburgh City.

Hernandez came off the bench in 89th minute of Atlanta’s 2-1 win over DC United.

Now that's a proper definition of "token".

Sure he doesn't give a fuck as he will get any appearance or win bonus contained in  his contract ?

Jack Milne was back in Brechin City’s starting 11 on Wednesday and played full 90 minutes of their 4-1 win over Formartine.

Neither Gallagher or Barron made Forfar or Kelty match day squads.

Brechin had no game today.

Hernandez is on bench for Atlanta United game against Nashville.

ETA Hernandez was an 84 minute sub in a 2-0 defeat.

Ended up being 1-0 to Peru. Venezuela had a man sent off. Ronnie H had a decent game. 6/10

Ruth away to Falkirk on loan.

You would have to think this will be last chance saloon.

Given we have taken in a player who has only scored against Tonbridge in the FA cup in two spells in the English lower leagues to take his squad place I would say he has already been asked to leave the last chance saloon.

Never really seen much of Ruth, is he any good?  Obviously the club doesn't really think so, hence him going on loan, but be interested to see what others think.

Difficult to say, looks like one of those that is a slow developer, he seems very slight. If he's good enough at fitba then he'll benefit from the loan move.

The kid is 19, let's see how he does at Falkirk before we write him off

Gallagher was 82nd minute sub in Forfar’s 1-0 defeat against Stirling.

Ruth started Falkirk‘s 2-0 defeat by Alloa but was subbed off after 60 minutes.

Jack Milne was a 69th minute sub in Brechin’s 3-1 win at Nairn.

Kieran Ngwenya joins Kelty Hearts on loan.

Was in League 1 last season, surprised we couldn’t find any takers in the Championship/League 1, seems a capable enough left back.

Michael Ruth got his first goal of his loan spell at Falkirk scoring last minute equalisers at Montrose.

Conor Barron came off the bench in Kelty’s 1-0 win over Stranraer.

Mark Gallagher managed 70 minutes of Forfar’s 3-1 win over Albion Rovers.

Jack Milne played 90 minutes of Brechin’s 4-1 win over Forres.

Hernades on the bench for Atlanta’s game against Philadelphia. Currently 0-0 approaching half time.
