20/21 Loan Player Watch

Thought Al had done one for this season, but turns out it was for the last.

First up, Ethan Ross.  seems to be getting rave reviews at Raith.  Fingers crossed he's given the chance to make the step up into the first team. Like the other two we have out on loan, his contract ends in May 2021 though.

  • It's maybe a bit unfair to make that point now, considering we're posting on a thread about our players that are out on loan and the majority of the youth squad are now being sent out elsewhere to get

  • I get the impression there is with Arbroath as it allows players to still train full time with club.    Not sure there is a plan for style of play however.

  • The player keeping him out of the team is American with an Irish passport, could be another potential loanee coming our way in the future. Was signed by Liverpool as a youth player and his father is n

Anderson started for Accies tonight and played for 79 minutes but didn’t score in Accies 2-1 defeat.

Anderson playing full 90 minutes for Accies this time. Played well forcing McGregor into several good saves including the one he parried to Callaghan for the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Tribute Act.

BBC gave him Man of the Match too

He’s still not good enough for Aberdeen.

Looked better than anything produced by either of our forwards in last two games which makes him good enough for Aberdeen at the moment.

Aye, but he hates the hun, so he was bound to play well. This was the move we should have been trying to get him at the start of the season. I'm not sure he'll be good enough, but there were a lot of minutes of football available for a guy like Anderson over the last few years. Many games where we were a couple of goals up and we went for the game management option, with a side portion of Main/Wilson. I think we could have got him to the level of McLennan no bother.

Forcing the keeper into several good saves isn’t what you want a centre forward to be doing really, they’re meant to beat the keeper so if he missed several chances then...

And an assist

I hope someone get's the best of him. Just a shame he didn't get a prem club sooner.

Anderson with another goal for Accies in a 1-1 draw with St Mirren.

was a deflection , but fair play to jane lewis good questions .. a process all players go through.. he has had chances .. thats why i took players on loan from other clubs ... and gave stevie may 50 games

Anderson talking to the press. He'll be hoping McInnes gets binned and he can come up with ten goals to his name and the chance to lead the line for his heroes.

It must be incredibly frustrating for him, though, to see the dons try out a big guy, little guy, 3-5-2 the minute he leaves the club!

He does say "whether that's at Aberdeen or elsewhere" which suggests he's not ruled out signing another deal. But if he keeps going the way he is any new deal would surely need be based on him being in first team.

I think he would deserve that opportunity, but knowing McInnes it wouldn't surprise me if he gets told he will be a backup and goes elsewhere.

Another assist for Anderson tonight in Hamilton’s 1-1 draw with St Johnstone.

  • 1 month later...

Hernandez did not make the match day squad for either of Atlanta United’s Concacaf champions league games against LD Alajuelense of Costa Rica. Atlanta won both 1-0.

Goals seemed to have dried up for Bruce Anderson who has now not scored in Hamilton’s last 4 matches.

Hernandez on bench for Atlanta against Orlando tonight.

Always liked his rough around the edges unpredictability in games. His goals ratio, when played as a striker for us,was actually pretty good

Hernandez didn’t make team for Atlanta’s 3-1 win over Chicago earlier.

Hernandez again not in the team for Atlanta United’s 3-0 defeat to Philadelphia in CONCACAF champions league tie.

Now we are playing the same system as Atlanta and Hernandez is not getting a game in Atlanta will we recall him in the summer?

Probably just waiting for him to get match fit, he's been chilling on a beach for past couple of months.
