20/21 Loan Player Watch

Thought Al had done one for this season, but turns out it was for the last.

First up, Ethan Ross.  seems to be getting rave reviews at Raith.  Fingers crossed he's given the chance to make the step up into the first team. Like the other two we have out on loan, his contract ends in May 2021 though.

Did he score a hat-trick?

No.

According to match report he was subbed off at half time.

Sounds like a promising future...

I think we could categorically say he was pish after about 13 minutes of his debut. I can't believe McInnes chose to spend twice as much as he's ever done on a player in a market that he'd never shopped in, and Aberdeen had no scouting in. If you'd told me that someone else was responsible for that signing, I'd probably be cynical enough to believe it. But no, Dave stated that it was McInnes' signing, so I completely and unequivocally believe that.

Completely forgot about the other players out on loan.

Logan’s 5 games at Hearts produce 5 clean sheets but he has been told he won’t be offered a deal.

Kevin Hanratty and Kieran Ngwenya are both on loan at Cove. Hanratty has been limited to appearances from the bench while Ngwenya has started a few games but missed last game due to injury.

Hernandez again was not in the Atlanta squad for their 1-1 draw with Philadelphia in second leg of CONCACAF quarter final.

Ngwenya played from the start of Cove’s 1-1 draw in the play off semi final first leg against Airdrie. Hanratty was not in the squad.

Hernandez on the bench for Atlanta’s 1-1 draw with Inter Miami.

The player keeping him out of the team is American with an Irish passport, could be another potential loanee coming our way in the future. Was signed by Liverpool as a youth player and his father is named John Lennon. Imagine.

Ngwenya played from the start of Cove’s 3-2 defeat in play off semi final to Airdrie.

Hernandez on the bench for Atlanta. Currently 1-0 down to Seattle.

ETA finished 1-1 with Atlanta scoring from a penalty. Hernandez didn’t get off the bench again.

Hernandez occupied his usual position in Atlanta’s 2-2 draw with Nashville tonight.

I thought he did well moving into a more central spot after the substitutions took place.  Very versatile.

Hernandez got off the bench for 5 minutes in Atlanta’s 3-0 defeat from Chicago last night.

Was that his debut?

Think it was. His previous appearances had been for their reserve side.

Doesn't really bode well for him given it's taken this long and a token gesture.

Hernandez resumed his usual position for Atlanta in their 2-2 draw with Nashville.

Mark Gallagher played 90 minutes for Forfar in their 0-0 draw against Montrose in league cup.

ETA: Gallagher scored one of Forfar’s penalties in the shoot out.

Seems like Heinze might be under a bit of pressure soon. Maybe if he gets sacked then Hernandez will get more opportunities to play.

2 wins in 12 suggests you might be right. 7 draws in that time but Atalanta’s owners will not tolerate them not challenging at top end of table for long.

Jack Milne out on loan to Brechin City in Highland League.
