Why is Ross Doohan not in the squad ?

Fuck sakes as I was typing that the sub keeper with nine minutes of first team football this season has just majorly fucked up a clearance and conceded after one minute into his Scotland debut

That was impressive in the scale of its shiteness. I have absolutely no idea why we're playing friendlies after the season has ended, but, regardless, it was one of the most clueless performances I've seen. It all falls on Clarke unfortunately. He picked guys like Hanley, and also chose a back three (Tierney looked dogshite too, Souttar was fine, probably MOTM). Johnson wasn't great, McGinn pish, Hirst isn't required (although wasn't terrible), Ferguson poor. Lennon Miller looked decent when he came on!

Clarke should have been sacked after the Euros. If we’ve to have any hope of qualifying for World Cup he needs replaced ASAP. Useless cunt.

What a fucking shambles that was. Why are we playing 5 at the back in a friendly at home against Iceland. Hanley playing ahead of a player who played in La Liga last season. Why. How anyone thought Slicker was even close to being ready for a full international squad is beyond me. No width in the team and no pace. 
 

Clarke should have gone after the Hungary game last year. Cannot see anyway we qualify for next World Cup under him. 
 

Actually that might be a good thing as don’t want to give that fat orange fascist a penny anyway.

With keepers injured explain why Ross doohan isn’t next up? Was solid for us this season and has played. Not our player now but surely a better option than most.

Not our choice, it's Uefa's. If we weren't involved in Nations League games, we were obliged to organise friendlies.

Doohan played in a run where we lost a large number of games. I would not have described him as solid. Anyway anyone who has gone to be third choice at a club has automatically ruled himself out of international selection. 
 

I would think McCracken at Dundee will be next one up if he is not off on holiday already.

Aye, that'd be correct. Slicker is the obvious choice, because he came through the u21s, and nobody expected him to have to play. McRorie had a dogshite season for Killie and McCracken is also guff. I'd probably take Kelly in, because he's fairly comfortable with his feet, but he's another guy who chose money and being a sub over first team football (not necessarily a criticism, just maybe not something we should be rewarding). I'm not going to blame Clarke for the goalie situation though, there has to be other people at the SFA looking at these things. Slicker isn't ready, but he should have been able to be thrown in against a pish team and told to go and do his best without pressure. He's 22, not 17. Gordon had probably played fifty games by that age. Whilst he's never looked particularly good for the u21s, Ipswich obviously felt he was good enough to be given a four year deal, so an international friendly shouldn't have been beyond him. Hopefully it hasn't damaged him too much, but I suspect that he might have just dispensed with his entire career.

Kelly is injured but still might be a better option than last night's keeper.
