OrlandoDon Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago Still don’t get it, can someone explain the souttar and tierney subs?? Quote
BigAl Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago 1-0 Denmark already They will come to Hampden and rip us a new one However they are about to hand us a play off place Quote
RicoS321 Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Oh well. Danes 1-0 up, so looks like we might see glorious failure in the playoffs. We were absolutely terrible in these fixtures. Other than perhaps the Denmark game, we've been terrible in the entire qualifying. Grinding out results won't get us to a world cup I don't think. Needs a huge performance in Greece to try and get us something. A large part of me would like to see Greece come back for the draw tonight so that we have a proper test of our strength of character. The draw would leave us a chance of finishing third and going out, and I've a feeling that we'd take it! Quote
BigAl Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Hope for one massive performance in Greece on the next month. Not going to lie but hope it comes from The Dons and not Scotland 1 Quote

We were dreadful tonight, as we were on Thursday and yet we got 2 wins which is all that counts in the end. Playing a team ranked 100th (with a couple of their player not getting visas to participate) and we're hanging on hoping for the final whistle. Quote

Why would going to play Greece when they've already been KO'd mean that it would be easy for us...I'd have thought the opposite, they'd nothing to prove so can play with no pressure. Quote

But the pressure on us may help us, although it’s limited pressure. It’s usually against the shit teams we fuck up, going to Greece knowing we need to draw or win to win the group is good to know, plus we know the runner up spot and playoffs is guaranteed. Greece folded at hampden, who knows what to expect from either team next month. Quote
Jute Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago That was another hard watch. I cannot see us winning either of the next two games. Play off secured but playing like this will probably not see us getting through. ETA - Journey back has been murder. Over 40 minutes to get a train back from Mount Florida and that was with leaving before full time. Standard Sunday service with no extra carriages. We really do not know how to run a piss up in a brewery in the country. Quote

It could mean either. Some of their players might call off. They had a few bookings tonight and have a couple suspended I believe too. It could go either way in terms of how they turn up, but if they lose a goal they might disintegrate. Hopefully! I'd say that our final two games, being roughly the same format as the playoffs, will likely be easier than any draw we get in the playoffs. A draw against Greece away is all that's required to get us a one-off match against Denmark to qualify, which is probably marginally easier than requiring to win a semi in the playoffs. Quote
