8 confirmed dead now, I know a guy who  works there and he was there when it happened though escaped unscathed.  Its all just a bit fucking mental isn't it

Know the Clutha well, have had a few pints in there in the past.

Just incomprehensible to think one minute sitting having a pint listening to a live band, next minute helicopter crashes through the roof.

 

Absolutely horrific that eight folk dead, but can't help but think that it could have been so much worse if fuel supply hadn't been switched off by pilot and there would have been an explosion.

 

Imagine there will be a minutes silence/applause tomorrow at Firhill.

Some of the comments there and elsewhere are ridiculous.

 

I see they;re holding a minutes silence and an applause at 12 mins.  Nice touch.  Don't necessarily usually agree with minutes silence etc at football, but this was within the same city and very recent.

'Scuse my ignorance but what was the relevance of the 12th minute? 

 

Looks like the minutes silence was well observed anyway, as it should have been of course.
