Between his first and second seasons with us, he clearly worked his arse off to get to the level he got to, gaining an additional yard of sustained pace (see the way he scored against Hibs at Hampden for example, where he just kept going at full tilt and still had plenty energy to produce a composed finish). I assumed that he'd be able to step up again, as he had the right attitude. His positioning and game intelligence were exceptional. The only doubt I had on whether he would make it or not was whether he was at his peak athleticism, or if he had a bit more to squeeze out of him when moving into the bigger leagues. Instead, he appears to have lost a yard of pace and reverted back to the player that began with us. I didn't think it would be the case, but he might go the way of someone like Kevin Van Veen, where those 18 months of peak physical fitness produced a one-off patch. Although it wouldn't surprise me if he got a good summer preseason and return to the level he was at with us. Hopefully the former. Cunt (for the avoidance of doubt).

There's some thought in the U.S that he was about to convert to Catholicism (like his fragrant wife). Wonder how that would have gone down. Mind you they appear to be big fans of Judaism (not kaflic jews obv).

I also thought he would cope with the step up in standard.  Injury didn't help him at Girona, nor did the fact they were regressing massively from the success they were having the previous season.  I do wonder what went on behind the scenes there as he wasn't prepared to go on loan, insisting on a permanent transfer, and Girona sold him for a cut price too.  That reeks of big falling out with the staff.   

 

As for his hun form it's pleasing to watch the hordes of mordor start to hate him but unft I suspect it's temporary. Unless they stick him out on loan in Jan  he'll likely start scoring eventually and all sins will be forgiven.

I’ve said this before, miovski could not have had it more perfect with us. He was our 9 who would pretty much play as he wanted, got all the penalties, scored early on his dons career, scored a game winner at hampden, and got cult/hero status very quickly. He was loved/adored. We have that type of club, some players truly love it here and you see the connection he had with the fans. Fast forward to now, whether the injury he had is a factor I don’t know, but he’s not a sure or regular starter, very limited playing time, not on penalties, team won’t gel around him, fans/culture is awful/toxic, not winning regularly or doing well, it’s the perfect storm. I also think miovski has a sensitive side and that’s just not the place for him.

Perhaps his time with us is similar to cosgrove, it just all clicked for him and he got his big move, then kind of disappears.

Pretty much covers my thoughts on it. Although I hope he doesn’t end up at Auckland as he’d tear it up in the a league. Now if he came to Welly then all would be forgiven

If he does have a sensitive side he's REALLY not going to enjoy coming back to Pittodrie. I genuinely think it will be at least as toxic as when Jack came back the first time but probably more.  You always love a goal scorer more than a def mid after all
