tlg1903 Posted April 10 Report Posted April 10 Down to ten men inside 15 minutes. Mcoist almost in tears on Co comms trying to argue that whilst it was denying a goal scoring opportunity it wasn't common sense to send a player off for a red card offence. Hilarious. This massively plays into our hands for Sunday, Bilbao are going to run them ragged. Quote
Jute Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 Any other club gets fined for. Bet they are not and their blatant sectarianism isn’t even discussed by the media. Quote
Kowalski Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cqj7gj2w0k5o £20m? That’s fuck all, they must spend most of that sacking managers. 1 Quote

With wise spending I think we’d be competitive with them next season. Quote

With wise spending I think we’d be competitive with them next season. That's £20m additional investment though. Add around £14m from season ticket sales, the £11m in prize money from the Europa League last season (which doesn't include ticket sales from five games which would be another £5m - £6m), and although I don't think they'll make it there is always the small chance they might get through the Champions League qualifiers and into the group stage. That doesn't guarantee anything, but it's a lot more than they had last summer. Quote
JessianK Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 So do we expect them to pay for Barron now ? Or are we still going to wait. Quote

They’ve also spunked a fair amount of money on players in recent years that I don’t think are in a healthy financial state. This change doesn’t buy them success and, putting my red specs on, we at least have a manager and a squad to build on, plus plenty of momentum. Still think we could give them a challenge next year. I think it's fanciful. For a poor squad, they were still 17 points ahead of third and Europa League quarter-finalists. I think our target for now is Hibs and Hearts - we're still early into our own rebuild. I'll settle for beating them in next season's Scottish Cup final though. 3 Quote

Hearts have been busy already and without Europe and with Mcinnes in charge I can understand why jambos would be optimistic about taking third. I read earlier that 12 players have left the club so it's going to be a very busy window for us. To be competitive in the the league in the first half of the season whilst we are in Europe is the biggest challenge we face next season. Herts have tried twice and ourselves once...... it's not worked out brilliantly for either. That said, I doubt Thelin will do a Robson and only use 15-16 players so, again, we come back to how well we recruit. I would say to stay in the hunt for 3rd whilst being competitive in Europe we will need a 75-80% hit rate. (by that I mean signings that come in a basically hit the ground running) with our transfer business this summer. We need most of it done before the end of pre season as well. Quote
BigAl Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Apparently there are Huns wanting Russell Martin sacked immediately with the rational for it being he doesn't understand what it means to be a Rangers manager and attended his press conference not wearing brown brogues 2 Quote
Kowalski Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Fuck me the social media comments are brilliant. Poor guy, he’s not a bad manager who is an intelligent chap based on his recent interview on the Rest is Football but he’ll (hopefully) be sacked quickly if they don’t start well. Some of them are foaming at the mouth. ““I’d rather guide my dad into my mum than have this appointment” PMSL “A vegan? We all let it slide with the Catholics but this is a step too far”. Brilliant. 1 Quote
