manc_don Posted August 27 Author Report Posted August 27 This one is going to hurt, and it makes me wonder if he’s just not bothered by the hate he’s going to face. If he does it, fuck him. Quote
wee toon red Posted August 27 Report Posted August 27 He’s a grown man trying to earn as much money as he can, he won’t care about abuse. He is a good player who was one of the best we’ve had in a while but I never bought into the love fest over him. That kind of affection should only be shown to long-serving players or guys who actually help the team achieve something noteworthy. Quote
Kowalski Posted August 27 Report Posted August 27 Hopefully he’s watching this shit show tonight and should realise he could do a lot better. Quote

His loyalty for us left as soon as he walked out the door as is the case with 99% of our players. Even the great McLeish joined the hunnery after 700 games in a red shirt, it is just a job for these guys trying to get the best opportunities and best money that is out there. The FAR more important point here, is this a permanent move and if so, what is our sell on clause? Quote

No, it is fans that misunderstand players Rico. A club is a way of life to a fan and some fans have an unreasonable expectation that it is the same for players. Football is just their job. There is no loyalty in the game. The guy was only at Pittodrie for five minutes, yet folk have some unrealistic fantasy that because of that he would never sign for our rivals. 2 Quote

I’m not naive enough to think he never would, although I don’t think he ever would directly from us. I genuinely thought he’d kick on from us in all honesty that he wouldn’t even need to come back to Scotland. Regardless, it’s shite thinking that the huns will have one of our most popular players in recent times. And they will love it. That’s probably the worst part of it. Didn’t really care about the last 3 rats, but this, this I care about. 1 Quote
Jute Posted Thursday at 09:40 Report Posted Thursday at 09:40 My concern is more a player we know scores for fun in our league going to team in our league where he will get more opportunities to score. Thats why I am gutted not because of any thought about loyalty. As for sell on these are usually based on profit over what the selling club bought the player for. As Hun fee is allegedly less than the £6.8m Girona paid us for him I suspect we will get nothing from this. Quote

wee toon red Posted Thursday at 15:12 Report Posted Thursday at 15:12 Big Ash Taylor does not approve. Quote
redordead Posted Thursday at 16:01 Report Posted Thursday at 16:01 Good news is I never rated him Conversion stats were mediocre at best and he scored one header in 25. Ra peepel will be all over him as soon as he misses a chance. I'd take dessers over him and I really hope they get the disappointment they deserve together. Quote
JessianK Posted Thursday at 17:37 Report Posted Thursday at 17:37 Dam bloody MS, had picked up my parents who had a hospital appointment today and bought first class train tickets to come home (on holiday in England somewhere) only to find appointment cancelled. (but they could not get refund on train tickets) So they used them to come home check on myself (HOME ALONE, yes: Can hear everyone shouting KEVIN !!! ) and make sure I had not fallen down or collapsed. Anyway, just woke up there to see big Ash's post. He gets it and understands the sheer hatred BM will recieve now anywhere in Scotland. Imagine wanting to play in Europe, to FAIL at the first major club and to end up at castle greyskull. Hope one player anywhere in Scotland breaks his knee cap. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted Friday at 01:38 Report Posted Friday at 01:38 Maybe I'm missing something here. Fees have been agreed between Girona and The Rangers 2012. But there's still personal terms to work through, surely?! Also, as much as I hate the idea of Bojan playing for THEM, I do respect the fact that he desperately needs to get his football career back on track, and if the only path realistically available to him is to go to Ibrox, then so-be-it. But I'm ultimately with Ash Taylor on this one. FILTH Quote
wee toon red Posted Friday at 08:27 Report Posted Friday at 08:27 The Huns wouldn't waste their or Girona's time negotiating a fee if the player didn't want to go I'm afraid. Quote
Jute Posted Friday at 23:26 Report Posted Friday at 23:26 Robby McCrorie goes on loan to Esbjerg in Denmark. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted Saturday at 05:54 Report Posted Saturday at 05:54 Glasgow Times suggesting that we will get 10% of the Miovski transfer fee, so about £260k. Thats a total of £7.1M we will have netted from him, a player who cost us £600k. Proof that its worthwhile pushing the boat out to get quality players Quote

We won't get anywhere near the original fee, because it would have been inclusive of add-ons. Quote
baggy89 Posted Saturday at 11:43 Report Posted Saturday at 11:43 Signed now. Best we can hope for is a couple of long term injuries… Quote
Reekie_Red Posted Saturday at 11:45 Report Posted Saturday at 11:45 Or maybe he does what Theo Snelders did at Rangers and just happy to sit on th3 bench and collect a wage from the scum Quote

They shouldn't be uttered in the same breath. 3 Quote
RicoS321 Posted Saturday at 12:08 Report Posted Saturday at 12:08 Hope he gets injured quickly. Dirty cunt. Wonder if he'll be in tears when he eventually leaves Ibrox? As others have said, probably, wouldn't really minded if it was someone like McGrath who just picked up a wage, acted very professionally and worked hard, without any playing to the fans or showing any real affection for the club. Miovski very much gave it the "club has a massive place in my heart" type shite the entire time he was here, and after leaving. If big Ash knows what it means to be a Dandy, then Miovski can't claim anything was lost in translation. It won't be long before he's talking up how great it was to play at Ibrox with the Dons and how he'd dreamed about playing there. Fucking cunt. 2 1 Quote

It's already happened, according to The Scotsman: https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/rangers/latest-rangers-news/i-knew-bojan-miovski-lifts-lid-on-rangers-move-as-ex-aberdeen-strikers-contract-revealed-5295106 “I am really excited to join Rangers and take the next step in my career. This is a massive club with an incredible history, and I am honoured to have the opportunity to be part of it. The moment I heard of the interest, I knew this was where I wanted to be. I can’t wait to get started, meet my new teammates, and play in front of the fans.” Fuckin booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! 1 Quote
wokinginashearerwonderland Posted Saturday at 14:09 Report Posted Saturday at 14:09 Their next couple of games will be interesting. If things go badly they could theoretically be 10 points behind Hearts after 5 games. Quote
baggy89 Posted Saturday at 16:17 Report Posted Saturday at 16:17 In fairness to the huns on their 4th attempt they’ve finally signed someone decent (indirectly) from us. Still, Martin makes it through till November. Milne smashes him, puts him out for a while, as a result of the gubbing we go on to give them, Martin gets the sack. New manager doesn’t rate him and he spends the next 3 years getting 5 minutes against Stirling Albion etc., in the league cup group stages. All while they’re sending money to Girona to fund what they still owe us. Quote
DantheDon Posted Saturday at 18:18 Report Posted Saturday at 18:18 Very disappointing news. I get the whole it is just a job spiel, good money and all that but I do think there is a bit more to it when you’re a public figure. A lot of us wishing him the best when he went to Girona looking for their results to see how he was doing. Even recently with his comments about possibly returning, although most understood that was unlikely in the coming years hinted that there was a mutual respect and affection. To then just disregard that and sign for them is a bit hard to swallow. I don’t know what other options he had but his statement (while it may just be playing to the crowd) certainly doesn’t suggest any reluctance. I honestly don’t know if he will do well for them or not. Can’t see Martin turning things around and he’s already lost the fans so it’s a bit of a mess he goes into. Hope it continues to be a disaster… 1 Quote
