David James moves to Bristol City :o

Quite surprised by that. Quite a coup for City. Unlucky Septic

Mark hughes is Fulham's new manager. Think that is a more than decent appointment. Hopefully he can build on Roy's success and ensure they retain a few of their key players from last season.

  • Dundee United look like they're doing a lot of research into whether their signings are a good culture fit for them, hence signing someone who looks like he already lives in a caravan.

Had to laugh reading that Celtic's latest transfer target is Paulo Bernardo 🤨 Hope their next moves will be for Nigela Pepperi and Nikita Maynardo.

Hibs allegedly signing Grant Hanley.

Completely missed Ryan Porteous going from Watford to LAFC.

They must have dropped a bit of money on him as see the fee was only circa £800k.

Can regularly be a bomb scare, but when he cuts out the shite a decent enough defender at Scottish domestic level.

I remember watching when he was on loan at Edinburgh City as a youngster and thinking he will be some player once he cuts out the school boy errors. Sad thing he has never cut out the brain fart moments.

Hibs sell Lewis Miller to Blackburn and confirm signing of Grant Hanley.

Hanley and Bushiri at the back for Hibs will make watching them a wild ride.

St Mirren sign Keanu Baccus back from Mansfield on a two year deal.

Another I would have liked us to sign in his first spell at St Mirren. Decent signing for them.

Dundee sign Yan Dandha on loan from Hearts.

A player I would have taken at us when he was at County. Probably too many players in the position he plays.

He's a level below what we need, and hearts. When he can play every week and be the main man, he's good. Not sure he'll manage that at Dundee, but maybe.

Not a transfer as such but I see Hearts have agreed a cooperation loan with St Johnstone. Bit surprised we haven’t arranged one with a championship side.

Aye, thought we'd have sorted one with Arbroath or Raith (Robson). The problem for hearts with getting Saints, is that they'll still have some decent players and have the parachute payment from the premier. A young loanee from Hearts probably isn't going to get a huge number of minutes in their first team, especially when they'll be aiming to win the league.

Did they not take a player from them just last week ?

Not sure if he played for them or not on Friday evening.

Aye I did think that was one of the issues with the cooperation loans is that a team looking at promotion might not want players who might not be available to them every week.

Aye, so it's whether you "waste" a cooperation loan on a team in order to get one player some minutes. Hearts maybe have one young player that would get into the Saints team, and they might feel obliged to send them another two, for the sake of the cooperation, who might just gather dust on the bench. All three might have got a game for, say, Airdrie. In terms of us, I don't think we have three youngsters that would get into a championship side, so perhaps it's worthless. Marshall at Arbroath, alongside Lobban would work, then you'd have one other perhaps just being sent to make up the numbers. I think Lobban would get in to a decent County side though, so you'd likely be underselling him (and I'm not sure he'll be going on loan).

To be honest, the whole thing is maybe just designed to increase the gap between top and second leagues. If Saints take three young Hearts players, for example, that doesn't say much about the viability of their squad.

"Heart of Midlothian are considering recalling 20-year-old Adam Forrester from his loan to St Johnstone after Christian Borchgrevink was ruled out for a number of weeks with a thigh injury, leaving the Premiership club short at right-back. (Edinburgh Evening News)"

Looks like the link up is working well!

SSN reporting Lennon Miller is in Italy getting a medical with Udinese. Club record fee for Motherwell.

Move completed for Miller.

Seems a decent level headed young man.

I wish him nothing but success with his career.

Scottish midfielders seem to be flavour of the month in Italian football nowadays.

I will blame you for bringing it up if he does.

3 goals in league 2 in England.  There just does not seem to be any strikers about at the moment.
