Well at least it looks like good news on the Foster contract situation - seems talks have gone well and the club expect to announce a contract extension later on this week.

Who would've thought even 18 months ago that we'd be happy to tying Foster up on a longer contract? Oh how times change!!

ricky gets 2 year extension to be honest i thought he was one of our better players last year playing at left back definetly deserves this in my case

Foster is a player I've liked ever since he came into the team, so I'm chuffed we've got him on a new deal!

 

However, it seems odd that whenever we offer new contracts it's usually 2yr max though- hardly leaves us in a position to demand a decent fee if/ when we decide to sell him on. Foster was pretty much a 1st choice last season (and is also 'versatile' which is the main thing under JC) so why only for 2yrs? (unless of course that's all he wanted)

 

Anyways, here's hoping we can get the likes of Mikey Hart & Lovell signed up before long too

I would of been very happy to see him go before last season. He turned it around last season and am now delighted he's signed. hopefully he'll keep up the form.

Last year was a hint of what Foster can do; I think the exposure in Europe will see him bloom even further.

I'm glad Foster's got a new contract but just hope he doesn't do an Andy Dow on us - Has one good season and then goes to rats-sh*t?!!

Fully deserved.  I was really impressed with Foster last season.  I can't remember seeing him having a poor game.

Yep pleased for Foster.

Certainly wasn't among many peoples picks for a starting berth at the start of last season, but he really came on to a game as the season went on, and won over most of the boo boys along the way.

Big test now having set the standard in that he not only needs to maintain that level but indeed develop further. If he succeeds he really could turn out to be an asset to AFC.
