swaddon Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 Jimmy Thelin's Festive Roadshow rocks up at Parkhead on Sunday 21st with a 3 pm kick-off. Celtic's Wilfried Nancy is going for a record extending five straight losses, but I don't think he can achieve it. 2-1 Celtic with a winning penalty 16 minutes into stoppage time. Quote
Nordicus Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 3 goals in first half 3 in second our usual drubbing Quote

tlg1903 Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 Well aren't you guys just a ray of fucking sunshine today. Don't give a fuck about last night, was dead rubber tastic and think we will be well up for this one.  3-1 dons with their 1 being a late consolation Quote
OrlandoDon Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 I actually think this game could suit us, provided we don’t give them too much respect and sit too deep. They’ll be on the front foot and dictate the game, pushing up allowing a bit of space for a counter. If we still have that. think lazetic karlsson and Armstrong will be big, we need the last two to support the big lion so he’s not isolated. provided we don’t gift a goal or two in minutes 20-30 like we gave a tendency to do with them, I think we’ll be ok. if we can get the first goal, especially if early, I expect a pretty grim environment. 2-2, lazetic karlsson  Quote
Jute Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 Think first goal will be vital on Sunday. If we get it their fans will turn on Nancy and atmosphere will be toxic. Lose first goal and we probably shit the bed and concede a few. 1 Quote

irnbru1903 Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 I honestly wish I had more hope for this one given our results domestically recently but this is one of those fixed points in time that cannot be changed no matter how bad or how big a crisis they are in. We won't score and our defence has been reverting to type and avoiding a clean sheet like the plague. Perhaps JT will have a fluky cup final run of luck but I just can't see lightning striking twice. Fingers crossed I am wrong and JT sets us up to be able to play a whole 90 minutes for the first time this season. By the laws of averages we are long overdue it and putting the final nail in Nancy's time there would be special. Quote
CurlsLikeTattie Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 2-0 down at half time, storming back to 2-4 after 114 minutes Aouchiche Nisbet Schmeichel (og obvs) Bilalovic 1 1 Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 We likely have a chance on Sunday, but we have a horrendous record at Parkhead, truly horrendous. Positives are that we can grind out wins and Celtic are in poor form. Negative is the usual we shit the bed when playing them. Fair play to the folks going to this and I hope you all get a day to remember down their. Â Â Quote

We just seem to confidently brush off the glaring errors, before doing exactly the same twenty minutes later. Milne didn't give the ball away for their third last night through panic or having given up. He confidently tried to thread a ball through to a retreating centre half in the name of passing out from the back. A crazy decision drummed into them on the training ground. Ignore the score, just keep doing it until it works seems to be the philosophy. Equally as likely to lead to a 0-6 tanking as shitting the bed like. 3 Quote
The.Moog Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 This is a game where we need to go out aggressive, press hard and get in their faces, like St Mirren did & Dundee Utd did second half on Wednesday. Its as rare as hens teeth, but they are genuinely fragile just now, and absolutely there to be got at and rattled. You just know however that we’ll do the absolute polar opposite… Quote

I do worry that this is it. This is not an excuse to bash McInnes (who was overall good for us) but he got us to a point but could go no further. It was beyond him.  Are we already there with JT? A bit of all three would be my guess OBI. None are a good look and make him (and the club) just look stupid.  As I’ve said before. Pep has A LOT to answer for in modern day fitba… 2 Quote

As you say, it’s so rare, but they are vulnerable and the crowd will turn pretty quickly. Quote
Panda Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 I watched the Celtic game on Wednesday. They could have had the game won by half time. Maeda suits the 3-4-3 and Celtic were killing United down the left. I'm not overly confident Devlin puts the brakes on him. In the second half, the turnaround was because United played to their strengths, which is that they are probably the tallest team in the top flight. They got it wide to their wing backs and threw crosses in against a side playing just one recognised centre half. I don't see us beating Celtic the same way. But, you would expect Karlsson should be able to cause Ralston problems - it's why I'm surprised he played the full 90 last night. The likes of Aouchiche and Armstrong should get space to work in though. We'll get chances. Quote
Kowalski Posted December 19 Report Posted December 19 We can’t go down there and park the bus. Go at them from the off and if we can get the first goal then Celtic could implode with the fans on their backs. 2 Quote

tlg1903 Posted December 21 Report Posted December 21 I'm genuinely surprised at the negativity 2bh. This is hardly a brilliant Celtic side and it's not even the best team we have played this week. Could have done without the midweek game 2bf but they had one too and are going to be smarting from it. The crowd is going to be on their back from the first whistle and as long as we hold out the inevitable kitchen sink chucking they throw at us in the early stage of the game we have a great chance imo. The big concern is all goals shipped midweek came from silly mistakes and there's only so many sitters John Kenny is going to miss.  Quote
