swaddon Posted Sunday at 18:29 Report Posted Sunday at 18:29 One more European adventure awaits the Dons in Prague, Czechia. The game kicks off at 8 pm Scotland time on Thursday 18th December at the Epet Arena, named by an expat Geordie. Sparta Prague are currently second in the Czech First League behind their city rivals Slavia Prague. They qualified for the Conference League by finishing fourth last season and negotiating three rounds before making the league phase. They are sixth in the Conference League table. I don't fancy this game at all. A 0-3 defeat beckons for us, but it won't matter. As long as we don't make an arse of ourselves like we did in Greece. 1 Quote
Panda Posted Sunday at 22:15 Report Posted Sunday at 22:15 Looking at who is in our European squad, happy for this to be the team. If Gyamfi isn't fit, then play Clarkson or Palaversa at LWB for shits and giggles, and play Nilsen in the middle. Or play Jensen and play Shinnie at LWB v Celtic. A shame Bilalovic isn't in the Euro squad because would have been a nice run out for him. Go enjoy yourself lads, Prague should be nice this time of year. But it's all about another Glasgow win over Celtic on Sunday. 2 Quote

This Was speaking to a good pal who's a St Mirren fan earlier to offer my congrats and said to him I was actually looking forward to playing at the San Giro for once. They are there for the taking. tlg1903 Posted Sunday at 23:40 Report Posted Sunday at 23:40 Molloy would have been great to be available for this OD but Dorrington is our only cover for cb at the moment. Quote

They are there for the taking. I have never looked forward to playing them in our own patch let alone Parkhead and as for them being there for the taking... The scars of watching us over the years, means I can never be that confident going into a game against anyone. We were honking first half yesterday, as bad a 45 minutes as I have ever seen from an Aberdeen team and I've seen plenty. Prague is a free hit. My appetite for the game is zero, but Thelin has to have us far better prepared for Sunday than he did first half yesterday. The green filth don't often lose many games on the bounce and I really don't want us being the team that it starts to click for them. 2 Quote
Jute Posted yesterday at 08:09 Report Posted yesterday at 08:09 Would probably go with team Panda has shown other than Jensen for Lobban. Need to rest as many of first team as possible for Sunday’s game. Be a bit shit for those heading over watching a reserve side but I am sure the Czech beer will compensate. This was always looking like a game we were not winning (we really did get a shit draw) against a team who regularly play in Europe. Weakened side will probably mean a bit of hiding is likely. oot work couch couch 3-0 no dons scorer. Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted yesterday at 08:16 Report Posted yesterday at 08:16 Sold 1500 tickets for this game and a few others in amongst the home support. A fair effort. 2 Quote
BigAl Posted yesterday at 11:02 Report Posted yesterday at 11:02 Intrigued to find out if anyone that has stumped up the cash to go across for the game actually is in favour of the level of team being proposed. Putting that aside, suggesting we field what effectively would be a reserve team is utter folly and likely to rebound on us big time. I already have the dubious record of having been at every one of our four heaviest defeats in European competition, I have no desire to make if five. Sunday will take care of itself, just fucking go for it Jimmy and win us back some pride please. In Visiting Xmas Market & Drinking Beer Away End Drinking Beer Depending upon the team selection anything from 5-0 them to 2-1 us 1 Quote
manc_don Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Really unsure how I want us to line up, need to keep some confidence going but we really do need to focus on Sunday. Do we start with a reasonable number of our regulars and change it up at half time? That’s probably one way for a routing. anyway, hope all that go enjoy the local festivities, as Jute says, beer will be your friend out Work work work (work, work) 4-0, no dons scorer Quote
Kowalski Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago If I was going I think I’d be delighted to see half the team changed, might get a good performance out of those on the fringes. Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Easy to answer, as not going, but if I was, I'd be going more to see Prague, with the football being an afterthought. I'd bite you hand off for a victory at Parkhead on Sunday though. Quote
