TheDonbytheDee Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Listening to God on the BBC and he was speaking when the Nisbet goal went in. He was fair loving that. 1 Quote
OneBrianIrvine. Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago 3 points and unbeaten in 8. Well done Dons. Game of two halves again though - one day we’ll play well the full 90 Quote
RicoS321 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Fantastic finish from Nisbet, after a bit of a dodgy half. Difficult for Thelin to manage the squad with the schedule, but Aouchiche could have done with 20 minutes on the bench. First sub should have been a double too, it might have meant the second change could have been made later. Anyway, never in doubt and a great away result. Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Aouchiche was poor on Wednesday night, just didn't happen for him. What a way for him to bounce back though. Nisbet getting a cracker, to get him off the mark, can only help our confidence. Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago The Aberdeen end at Dens park is having a fair old bounce. Brilliant to see. 1 Quote
The.Moog Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Well we made much harder work of that than needed, but a good 3 points and good performance in the main. Thats a quality finish fae Nesbit, top notch. That’s what we bought him for. If both he and Lazetic can keep up the recent scoring form we’re in good shape up front. Aouchiche excellent today, though he was done midway through second half (as was the whole midfield tbf) so should have come off. Put in another great shift though. Polvara and Armstrong similar, did well but tired second half. The set piece defending just has to be sorted out though, we’ve not scored once from a set piece ourselves this season, but have let in a barrowload. Not good enough and I don’t know what (if anything) they are doing in training, but they need to work on it much harder. Overall though a pleasing performance and great result. As others have said though, it would be nice to see a 90 minute performance… Quote
wee toon red Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago A player or two in January and a less burdensome fixture list and I reckon top 4 isn't beyond us yet. Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I think we are getting to a better place now. We just seem a more organised group, playing to the managers instructions. Not saying we are perfect, but we just seem a bit more cohesive and heading in the right direction as a team. I'm really glad we stuck with Thelin, when a lot of us were thinking he was a goner and with good reason to be fair. We've all had our doubts about Jimmy, but I've always felt he speaks so well and you could see he was frustrated as the rest of us after most of the early season shyte we were served up. Is it the reason some player's aren't getting a look in. Long may it continue. Saturday nights are much better when Aberdeen have played and won. Away out to see The Skids soon, so enjoy your evening fellow dandies. Quote
OxfordDon Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Wonder how much credit is due to the arrival of the Penguin, the upturn in team attitude seems to have coincided with him coming in. 1 Quote

Had wondered about this midweek. Definitely seems to have had some sort of steadying influence, even if it is just psychologically. Hopefully has freed up some time and burden for JT. anyway, only caught the last 20 mins, and we were being pumped with the game being played at a million m/hr. That Nisbet goal was special, outside of the boot by the looks of it? He’s got some confidence now so hopefully he goes on a bit of a run last last season now. Think someone else mentioned it, at the time I couldn’t believe Adil going for the corner flag before the 90, but having read the comments back, that now all makes sense. anyway, 3 important points and we enter the top six for the first time since the start of this season. Happy weekend Dandies! Quote

OrlandoDon Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Just finished watching, good win and with killie ar home next weekend, good opportunity to keep the positive momentum. its all our midfield. Aouchiche Armstrong and polvara played well first half and it’s a solid performance, then second half it’s more passive, too deep, and not enough desire passion or fight in midfield to get the team up the park. Some fannying around too in the box too, should gave been more than 2 up before they score. think that’s our strongest 3 in midfield, but certain hope we add a cm or two in Jan. Quote

Elgindon Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Only lstened on the radio while driving but according to Willie we were excellent in the first half, and Dee were 'magnificent' 'on fire' in the second. He also said we came out in the second half far more passive than in the first, maybe that gave Dundee encouragement to have a go? Should have been 3 up at half time, but there was plenty time /energy for us to look for a third in the second to finish them off.Still,we seem to be playing with a bit more risk, scoring more, conceding too...a more enjoyable watch, and mostly winning on the way.Happier days Edited 1 hour ago by Elgindon Quote
