swaddon Posted Sunday at 16:57 Report Posted Sunday at 16:57 The 1-0 specialists host the Paisley Saints on Wednesday night for the first of eight games in December. The excitement begins at 1945. I fancy a high-scoring thriller with the Dons winning 5-4. Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted Sunday at 17:01 Report Posted Sunday at 17:01 Great! St Mirren are on a shit run and we have a tendency to help teams stop bad runs. In South Stand Work Hame 1-0 - Lobban Quote
Elgindon Posted Sunday at 18:04 Report Posted Sunday at 18:04 Buoyed by that swashbuckling performance... In If not the Mainer, the Y Must be due an enjoyable Dundee-esque performance sometime. 3 - 0 Dons Lazetic x2,Nisbet Quote
manc_don Posted Monday at 02:48 Report Posted Monday at 02:48 Excellent, an evening game I should be able to watch on the sly at work. Hopefully a bit more excitement than there was last mid-week. They're on honking form at the moment so hopefully we can prolong that! Quote
tlg1903 Posted Monday at 14:13 Report Posted Monday at 14:13 Too busy at work to get off early enough to make the trip. So far in the league I have missed Dundee and Hearts so we are sure to win on that basis. Keskinen has to start for me. Past few games he has looked so much more aware of what is going on around him (I genuinely wonder if Lutz had a chat with him about that on arrival as his improved play does seem to coincide with that timing) and long may that continue. Gyamfi wasn't on the bench on Sunday, has he picked up another knock does anyone know? Jensen will probably come back in to freshen legs though no idea which side. He's another player that to my eye seems to be improving a wee bit though not to the level of Keskinen. Couch Rtv Couch I don't care about St mirrens shit form, I still regard them as our bogey team and it will take more than the win in paisley to shake that anxiety when playing them. Any kind of win and I'll be delighted but I'll go 2-0 good guys. Topi and Milanovic. Quote
BigAl Posted Monday at 14:21 Report Posted Monday at 14:21 Not going up the road this mid week as will be again next week, so out Out Work In the radio studio presenting my show (might manage to sneak tablet in there with me to watch snippets on Red TV) Catch up on the highlights (assuming there are any) on Sportscene 2-1 Topi & Milne Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted Monday at 17:37 Report Posted Monday at 17:37 I'm going to embrace the 1-0 wins. This time last year, we would have loved a shithouse win against anyone. A 1-0 against St Midden on Wednesday will be acceptable. Quote
Ajjadeen Posted yesterday at 01:08 Report Posted yesterday at 01:08 Prime cut Topi please. 3-0 1 Quote

No mate, I just think Milanovic is starting to settle after moving from the other side of the world and fingers crossed we are going to start seeing a lot more from him. 2 Quote

swaddon Posted 19 hours ago Author Report Posted 19 hours ago Jimmy says that he expects the game to be tough. No shit. They've all been tough recently, because we made them tough. At least he's up front about it. Quote

Again. topi on the right, milanovic on the left, karlsson at 10 behind lazetic. Aouchiche and polvara at 6 and 8. Alternatively drop karlsson and put Clarkson alongside polvara with Aouchiche at 10. im going to stun you all and predict 3-1 us. 3 goals in one whole game, big early Xmas prezzie coming! lazetic karlsson and Aouchiche/milanovic. Ajjadeen Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago What is this madness you speak. 3 whole goals Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago 30 minutes ago, Ajjadeen said: What is this madness you speak. 3 whole goals I was inspired by st mirren highlights I saw earlier from Dec 2021, a 4-1 win where superstars like Ojo, Jet, Watkins, and David bates graced pittodrie. If they can score 4, we can get 3!! Quote
Ajjadeen Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago (edited) I actually think you might be right. It feels like time to chalk up an actual comfortable, dare I say ‘deserved’ win. Suspect Helen has her eyes on the final and players won’t want to miss that through injury. If hammer throwers aint throwing hammers then they’ve got sod all else to do. All I ask is we play 3 midfielders please. Fire up the 352 mobile and get the Markev goal machine on full throttle. Edited 13 hours ago by Ajjadeen Quote
TheDonbytheDee Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago Woke up early this morning and actually looking forward to this game tonight. Quote
Jute Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Fully expect this to be another hard watch. We have definitely become more defensively sound of late but are creating very few chances at the other end. St Mirren are struggling for league form and has been said above probably got one eye on upcoming league cup final. Can see them coming to sit in and hope we make a mistake. Not going to attempt to guess line up after Sunday as what JT will come up with is anyone’s guess other than it will be 1 up front. Work at the moment means no chance of getting up the road for this. Game is available on pay per view in UK for those not able to attend. Oot Work Couch Couch 1-0 Karlsson Quote
Ajjadeen Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I’m going to go completely off the rails and predict a set piece goal tonight. The first of its kind. I’ve been saying for a few weeks now that Knoester is due a goal. Cometh the hour….cometh the Mats. Quote

Ajjadeen Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago You can even employ specialists to teach you how and have your two CBs score more goals each than other teams strikers. Unfortunately, teams work out what you are up to and then you start drawing games and looking a bit ineffective. Manager starts overthinking stuff and then there is a massive popping noise up north somewhere and you hit the skids and you go from New Order to Joy Division just like that. or so the story goes…… Quote
Blow.Up.Sheep Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago He simply has to give in and change things a bit and start with two strikers up front (Lazetic and Nisbet) put their names first on the team sheet in a two up front formation then build the rest of it around them. Do that and we will win comfortably 2 (maybe 3) - zip Start with any other line up and we will be forced to watch the usual eye bleeding turgid shite and scrape a 0-0 Or maybe just maybe steal three points at the end again (which we would all accept) but for fuk sake Jimmy there are easier and more efficient ways to achieve this. Change your approach min ffs it's never too late to admit you are wrong Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 12 minutes ago Report Posted 12 minutes ago Getting to the point where I have expectation, damnit. We are winning games and they are on a poor run. What if our luck runs out. Or what if we finally click and play well…. I'm now thinking 5-1 us. Quote
