OrlandoDon Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago What an awful watch. Entire second half. And yengi coming. Ugh. Can we hang on?? Quote
Slim Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago What the fuck is Thelin doing not bringing on subs? 1 Quote
redordead Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Its all about the three points but that second half was fucking abysmal. I don't remember us being in their half. Midfield were kicking it anywhere. Mitov must've punted it straight to the opposition at least a dozen times and it came right back at us. He also got very lucky with his flaps at crosses and feigned injuries. Lobban having a solid debit is the only bright spot really. Thought polvara was poor and amazed there were no changes. I also really hope the new director knows how to defend set pieces because they should've scored a few in that half. Three wins in four. Still pish but hopefully it breeds some confidence. Quote
RicoS321 Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago Never in doubt. Top performance. Knoester MOTM. We looked out on our airses for the last 30 minutes. Fuck knows what Thelin was watching, it was almost like he didn't want to jinx it by bringing on a sub. Karlsson barely touched it in the second half, and Armstrong also looked knackered, as did Lobban. Don't need all of them off, obviously, but one or two. Actually think Yengi might have offered more than Nisbet in a game like that, but I'd probably have just gone with the two up in order to push them back. They went very direct in the second half, and we struggled. Watson a fantastic player. 2 Quote

Not a stand out team from third down, although I expect the Hun to turn it round. Shitfest a few more games like tonight and I think we'll be in with a chance of top six. Quote
Jute2 Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago (edited) That second half was a hard watch. Lack of subs to take of players who were clearly struggling was odd to say the least. Thought Lobban looked decent until he tired towards the end. A better option than Jensen at right back. Wins a win but don’t think you will many repeating that second half performance. tlg1903 Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago The strangest thing about the lack of subs was the fact that was our 3rd game in 5 days. For a manager that is usually so quick to go to the bench it really is bemusing he left so many on when they were clearly burst. We have a week off now and I think we need it. All that mattered tonight was the win really and we have it. Quote
BigAl Posted 19 hours ago Author Report Posted 19 hours ago Really nice to be back in the house so soon after the match finished for a change Not much to add that's not already been said. We started brightly and deservedly took the lead but completely failed to build on it. The second half we never laid a glove on them and made them look semi competent for long spells. On another evening we could easily have conceded three or four and been heavily defeated. Mitov flapped time and time again. He really needs someone to be pushing him to keep the shirt. Lobban can be proud of his first start and more than played his part. Dare I say it, Jensen actually had one of his better games for us tonight. Has anything changed as a result of tonight, in my opinion definitely no. The deep rooted issues are still there but for once I will enjoy my large dram to accompany the three points and try and thaw out as it was fucking cold in Killie 1 Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago Missed the first half and second was beyond painful. No clue why we didn’t see subs. It was also kick and run for much of what I saw which is not the best. Don’t understand the lineup, a right back at left back and molloy on the bench when he has not been too bad this season. Lobban looked tidy and pacy, I’d sell Jensen in an heartbeat and go with devlin and lobban at right back, then sign a proper left back. Fear gyamfi is injury prone. Would like to see frame, know little of him. Quote

Complete random panic signing. Anyway, great to see us get 3 hard fought points and I’m glad work has been mental so wasn’t even able to watch it on a stream. sounds like an absolute shitfest I understand this team less and less on a daily basis. KGB Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Happy with the points but as has been said they only mask our underlying problems. Quote

We can beat hearts, if we play it like the cup final. but rather than one lone striker, stick Nisbet and Lazetic up front. From what I saw of his play last night, he reminds me of a certain Duncan Shearer, but he needs a partner to play the ball to if he is being used as the target man. ** Not been online much recently as struggling with these symptoms and a few days ago had a tooth (attempted to be removed) partially removed, root still inside my gum which is causing horrendous settling down pain. So dozing myself with codine. Really wish I had some morphine, least i can talk to the Elephant on the unicycle. Edited 3 hours ago by JessianK 1 Quote
