BigAl Posted Monday at 08:42 Report Posted Monday at 08:42 Huge match for us coming up on Saturday as we'll get an indication if the team really are starting to gel and find their feet or was the Dundee game a flash in the pan. It is also lovely to have a Saturday 3pm kick off again Far too early in the week to think about how we'll line up and my only real thought on it so far is that it won't be the same starting eleven as started the last league game and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Jimmy reverted to a back four. In Train, the pub Away End Train Feeling reasonably optimistic at present and going for a 2-1 victory for us with goals from Armstrong & Topi. Quote
tlg1903 Posted Monday at 12:44 Report Posted Monday at 12:44 I honestly think it would be suicide to revert to a back 4, especially against our bogey team of the past few years. 1 Quote
manc_don Posted Wednesday at 06:39 Report Posted Wednesday at 06:39 Agreed, we’ve got the system that works at the moment, no need to overhaul it for the sake of it. Need to build some confidence first and foremost. Really not sure what to make of it all in honesty, I’ve long given up to guess how we’re going to set up On paper, their form is a bit all over the shop and I’ve not really watched any highlights of theirs to even make a semi informed judgement of what to expect from them. Are they playing decent football this season? Lord knows if Richardson is fit, he will score. Their fans appear to be a bit insufferable like hearts fans online. 2-1, karlsson and Nisbet Quote
BigAl Posted Wednesday at 09:15 Author Report Posted Wednesday at 09:15 For clarity purposes can I just state that in no way in my opening post was I suggesting that we would revert to four at the back, just merely highlighting that it wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world to me if Jimmy decided to do so Quote

BigAl Posted yesterday at 15:23 Author Report Posted yesterday at 15:23 Less than 24 hours to kick off but there appears to be zero interest on here for this game Quote
tlg1903 Posted yesterday at 17:11 Report Posted yesterday at 17:11 I'm pretty nervous about it 2bh Al. A win would be massive and really gives us impetus going into the Athens game but they have a great record against us. A draw wouldn't be awful but a defeat would have a back to square one feel to it. Their form has been a bit more patchy than usual though and as long as we stick to 3 at the back I can see us coping with their physical front line pretty well. If we show up going forward like we did against Dundee in the first half we have a great chance. 3 Quote

OrlandoDon Posted yesterday at 21:45 Report Posted yesterday at 21:45 (edited) St mirren lost to killie last time out and have won 2 of 7 so far. They beat Dundee 1-0 at home if that means anything. They are no world beaters. we blasted Dundee. I don’t buy Dundee are shit, they aren’t good but we made them shit by playing so well. Bring that attitude and play to st mirren and we win the game. Last two games have shown promise, we weren’t bad at Motherwell despite the loss. Win would be huge, draw is not a disaster, but we cannot lose. A win could jump us to 9th given the games being played above us. Must see 3 at the back and the same 3-4-2-1, center mid of Armstrong and shinnie, with karlsson and another behind lazetic. 2-1 us, karlsson and lazetic. manc_don Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Very nervous about this game, and I’m desperate for us to find some consistency! Play like we’ve felt like we could all season, then we should be fine, just hope we don’t have to make wholesale changes to personnel or system. Quote
Elgindon Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Theyve had a mixed run of results, and theyre missing a guy(Olesunya?) who gave us problems last season.A wee bit more optimistic than usual this time round if were up for it.Got guys that can run at their defence, and with some more nifty Karlsson footwork around the box fancy a narrow win. 1 - 2 Dons. Karlsson,Armstrong Quote

tlg1903 Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Will take any kind of win at all 2bh but it would be amazing to get a convincing one. It would also be a very good thing if we could get Lazetic off the mark today. Quote
tlg1903 Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago Either Devlin or Molloy at lwb you would think. Probably Devlin Quote

Probably Devlin I dunno, I think Devlin might be RCB, as he prefers Milne in the middle so it'd be a left sided player on the right of defence otherwise. No Gyamfi is a blow. Type of game Aouchiche will either get swallowed up in, or be the star man. Edited 9 hours ago by Panda Quote

OrlandoDon Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Meh line up for me. Would really like too see frame at LWB if gyamfi is injured. Expect it to be molloy, who makes me nervous. Jensen at RWB and devlin in the 3, not what I want, devlin offers a lot more going forward. Also think lazetic offers so much more than nisbet. Think we made it a little harder with that line up. Elgindon Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Optimism reduced a bit seeing that line up.Not sure its the type of game for Aouchiche, but hopefully takes some confidence from last Saturday.Kjartansson may be a later option.Ah well, here goes.... Quote
Panda Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Is the line-up not just the same as the one that spanked Dundee 4-0, bar Molloy for Gyamfi? Quote

Gyamfi played well and scored, molloy always looks nervous and offers less. Also thought nisbet wasn’t great vs Dundee whereas lazetic has pace power and work rate which will be needed today. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago 25 in, pretty even. My gripe is nisbet, just offers little, looks slow and unfit, but pretty much always looks that way. Quote
RicoS321 Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Dons' stream switched to the Motherwell v Falkirk game. More relaxed. Our game been okay so far, fairly even. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Aouchiche certainly involved but just doesn’t seem to have enough. Wouldn’t mind seeing milanovic in that role, behind the forward, he has the extra pace. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Shinnie has taken the sivert role of either getting caught in possession or living in that fine line of almost caught. Too slow and sloppy for me. Dangerous. not a bad half but not enough from nisbet and aouchiche. To be fair, molloy has been decent. Quote
