Tyrant Posted September 2 Report Posted September 2 Anyone got much experience of Prague? What's the best area to aim to stay in? Quote
BigAl Posted September 2 Report Posted September 2 I thought I paid £90 odd for the three game package a couple of years ago. When I have time I must check that out Quote

Old Town area around Republic Square is about a 30 minute walk from the stadium (or 10 minute by Tram - Lines 8/26). I imagine that's also close to where most fans will be congregating. Quote

We stayed in Zizkov (Prague 3 I think) last time. About 10 minutes from Old Town on tram or Metro. Was cheaper than more central areas with good few cheap local bars and restaurants. Quote

tlg1903 Posted September 3 Report Posted September 3 Squad is out. no Dorrington, Kjartansson, Frame or Bilalovic. That's a sore one for Alfie you would think. Goalkeepers Dimitar Mitov Nicholas Suman Rodrigo Vitols Defenders Nicky Devlin Mats Knoester Jack Milne Kristers Tobers Gavin Molloy Alexander Jensen Emmanuel Gyamfi Midfielders Graeme Shinnie Sivert Heltne Nilsen Adil Aouchiche Dante Polvara Leighton Clarkson Stuart Armstrong Ante Palaversa Ryan Duncan Dylan Lobban Forwards Topi Keskinen Kusini Yengi Nicolas Milanovic Kevin Nisbet Jesper Karlsson Marko Lazetic Quote
tlg1903 Posted September 3 Report Posted September 3 Overall it's about as good as we could put out given the restriction in squad size though a wee bit light in defence and a bit midfield heavy. Theres a lot riding on Gyamfi getting fit soon and hitting the ground running too if you ask me. From what little we know of him it is said he's rapid and attacking which could free up a lot of space for Karlsson given how Thelin wants his full backs to play Quote

Aye, it's a strange one. Although he looked good when he first joined. I mentioned previously how I thought that signing Dorrington made zero sense. Whilst there are still plenty of games for him to be involved in during the season, I imagine it'll leave a sour taste missing out on Europe. It's great for us to have an option such as him if we get two injuries at the back (once Tobers is fit I mean), but it's at the expense of a young lad's development, which isn't great. He could have gone to Livingston or Dundee and played every single week. After his involvement last season, I hope we were at least up front and honest with him that he'd be third choice right centre back. 1 Quote
