Forget the Europa. She never loved us anyway.

Draw imorn. We play one team from each pot.

Toughest draw: Fiorentina, Crystal Palace, Mainz, AEK Athens, Samsunspor, Hacken.

Panda's draw: AZ Alkmaar, Shamrock Rovers, Bialystock, Lincoln Red Imps, Breidablik, Shelbourne (apparently the rules say we can play both Irish sides).

  • To understand the change to this format, you have to understand what they're trying to get to. The final goal is a European league(s). This gets everyone used to the idea by creating the format first,

Ok cards on the table here.

Still in ground at Fir Park and going to put this out there.

I need two tickets for Prague

Younger son and myself had flights and accommodation booked within twenty minutes of ties being confirmed.

I have followed Aberdeen all over Europe since Liverpool on 5th November 1980.

Who are the two fans on here with sufficient loyalty points to get me two tickets for 18th December ?

Please, please help if you can.

I'm not getting any younger guys

Let me just clarify, the issue, I live three and a half hours away from Aberdeen now and have done so for the past forty plus years. Putting that aside we have bought the three game home package and booked and paid for trips to Athens & Prague. Last time around, we did all three home games and away games in Frankfurt & Helsinki.

We are both priority group six for this game, so have zero chance of getting them in our own right but we do invest a huge amount of time and money following the team.

Anyway, enough hooring myself, big you can help, please do

Well as suspected never got so much as a sniff of a ticket for Prague 🥺

So, go and savour the city and atmosphere at considerable cost or cut my losses and punt the flights at a discount ?

Anyone on here actually going to this one or was am the only one daft enough.

Go.  It's a cracking city and you never know, you might end up up finding someone with a spare

Yeah I will go mate

Know my way around the city as was there several years ago to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday although now more remembered as the day Madeline McCann disappeared.

You are right to say it is a fabulous city and we will explore it, visit the Xmas market and hopefully have a fan zone to visit for beers and the game

I dare say you won't be the only dandy out there without a ticket either.

You're right

My younger son will also be there 😂

Depending on work requirements I might head out to see if I can buy a home end ticket but won’t know until nearer the time.

Love Prague as city and will try to move things about to make it.

Hopefully see you there ☝️

Alternatively take the missus and I can sell you two return tickets from Edinburgh

You think given my track record I would be allowed to Prague on my own?

I'm gutted you didn't get tickets Al but defo go and enjoy the city you will have a wonderful time maybe more so cause you don't have to watch the dons haha

I went to the opera in Prague a few years ago saw Nabucco it was amazing

Surprised nobody has posted here yet. Based on our order of fixtures, here’s how our future opponents did in round 1 -

AEK Athens lost away 3-1 to Celje

AEK Larnaca won 4-0 at home v AZ (10 men after 2 mins)

Noah beat Rejica (10 men after 29 mins) 1-0 at home

Strasbourg won 2-1 away at Slavan Bratislava

Sparta Prague beat shamrock rovers 4-1 at home

Familiar face when we play them.

After the draw with Larnaca, we are no longer projected to finish last by Football rankings. 🙌

We are, however, still big outsiders to reach the knockout stages.

Beat Noah though, and we've two chances to try get another three points which *might* be enough. A win and draw would definitely do it.

Extra 550 tickets for our support acquired by the club and on sale now, but ONLY if you are on the waiting list and have over 250 priority points 👍

In the best traditions of trickle down economics (cough) if anyone on here picks up a couple of those tickets and has already fronted up for the Dons' fan zone in Prague, I'll very happily snap up tickets for that!

I wasn't aware of the existence of a fan zone.

Has this been confirmed anywhere

Are you actively looking for tickets to that or are you looking for match tickets also 🤔

I'd absolutely be looking for actual tickets!

FanZone thing has been organised by Neil Gordon, of the 1903 Express Aberdeen Supporters’ Club. Was a piece in the P&J about it. Contacted him when I spotted it, but it had sold out.

Aye, mind about him going out looking at venues for this now.

I think there will be tickets available, particularly for the home support as some folk who didn't get away end will have purchased (probably at inflated prices) and given the release of the 550 additional tickets yesterday probably means that some of these folk now getting an away ticket will now have them spare. I'll keep my ear to the ground and PM if I hear of anything.

Of the additional 550 tickets there are currently 113 still available and priority one have got less than an hour to guarantee ticket.

At 1pm an additional 89 folk in group two are able to buy, so looks like they're all going to get a ticket and then possibly some from priority group three on the waiting list.

Are you on the waiting list 🤔

Not on the waiting list, so far as I know, as didn't qualify for the terms of the original allocation. As I recall the bar was pretty high and I live down south, so not a season ticket holder.

Away from the Strasbourg thread, just wondered whether anyone has actually bothered to check the league table in this pish? I haven't checked it once. It just doesn't feel like an actual competition. It could be to do with the ridiculous format, or perhaps that the whole thing is so pathetically contrived. Even if we were winning every game, I still wouldn't have been looking at the league. I regularly check the premier league (nae religiously, but every couple of fixtures). I suspect it's just the sheer volume of fixtures. I remember when we were last in it with Robson, and it ruined the entire season. The saturation of games took a long time to get over. Again, it's not really for the fan that goes to games. Those that appreciate a wee break but feel obliged to go. A return to the old format would be amazing. Three brilliant competitions of knockout format. Fuck the telly.

I don't need to check the table to know that we're near the bottom.

Dave C winna be happy when he reads it.

I'm sure he reads the AFC forums.

Agree with you. If going back to the old way, can we play everything on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and cut back on the Sunday games. A big bugbear of mine.
