tom_widdows Posted August 8 Report Posted August 8 Yes I shall be attending. Decided against standing in the open as that 'terrace' seemed pretty precarious when it was empty let alone with 1000+ on it. With a proper terrace or standing in a plastic seat area there is less chance of a 'David Busst' should you fall forward in a goal celebration Quote
Jute Posted August 16 Author Report Posted August 16 Other results Celtic 4-1 Falkirk Rangers 4-2 Alloa Partick 2-0 Ayr St Johnstone 0-1 Motherwell St Mirren 1-1 Hearts (St Mirren win on penalties) Much to everyone’s surprise (okay the media and Hearts fans) Hearts are out and not winning the treble. Panda Posted August 16 Report Posted August 16 Now, I don't subscribe to the notion cup draws are rigged. However... In Celtic's last 24 domestic cup games, 20 of them have been in Glasgow. The tie with Partick Thistle now makes that 21 from 25. The four that were not in Glasgow - three of them are relatively close by (Paisley, Motherwell, Kilmarnock) with the furthest being Tynecastle (which is less than an hour away). Yet if they make Hampden again (in their own city) expect plenty of attendance chat and talk about loyalty and big game fans, while criticising Aberdeen (should it be us) for not filling the our end for a lunchtime/evening kick-off. Panda Posted August 16 Report Posted August 16 As for our cup draw (which, for balance, is our 10th home game from 24 cup ties), I'm to blame/thank for us getting Motherwell. A rather excited Motherwell fan at work - buoyed by beating Rangers 1-1, hammering St Mirren 0-0, and smashing Clyde on penalties - has bet me that Motherwell will finish above Aberdeen this season. So of course we will now face them back-to-back, home and away. Quote
tom_widdows Posted August 17 Report Posted August 17 Arabs and Livi Oot Postponing next weekend's game possibly helping Goodwin & co more than the Dons Quote

Didn't the new club have something like 12 home games in a row when they reformed - I seem to remember asking my loon what were the odds of that happening as part of his Uni course involved statistics and he said it was 1 in 4096, so nothing underhand there. 1 Quote

Jute2 Posted Saturday at 20:29 Report Posted Saturday at 20:29 St Mirren thumping Motherwell 4-1 in first semi final. Bigot fest semi final on tomorrow. Quote
tlg1903 Posted yesterday at 15:56 Report Posted yesterday at 15:56 Ugly sister semi has been quite entertaining 2bf. 1 each going into ET with der hun down to ten. Quote
Jute2 Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Finished 3-1 to Green Bigots. Blue bigots complaining about Trusty not being sent off while ignoring the penalty they got that wasn’t a penalty. 1 Quote
manc_don Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago Hopefully they've been suitably broken by this. Although a hun mate said that this was a free hit for the new manager, but hopefully he's in the minority. Quote

On the flip side the hordes of mordor seem to be turning on Miovski which is pleasing. Quote

To be fair, if Aasgaard was a red card (it was) then there was a case for Trusty going as well. I was at the game. Wanted Miovski to score simply because it would have meant he'd likely have had to come down to the media interviews afterwards, and I wanted to ask him about his Aberdeen betrayal. But he didn't. He couldn't even give me that. Quote
