Dundee were already out before the Airdrie game kicked off (could only finish 2nd with 6 points which isnt enough for one of the 3 'best runner up' spots). Im assuming the BBC didnt think it was fair to piss on Dundee's destruction of the mighty Rose Quote
Reekie_Red Posted July 25 Report Posted July 25 I take it all bets are off for Pressley being thr first Scottish Premier manager to get the boot? Just having a wee gander at TheDarkBlues forum, the "Sack Pressley Now!" thread was started 5 days ago and is already 15 pages long 1 Quote
Jute Posted July 26 Author Report Posted July 26 Today’s results Some more thumpings handed out again today. Final game is St Mirren v Ayr is tomorrow and the draw for 2nd round is after that. Quote

Just having a wee gander at TheDarkBlues forum, the "Sack Pressley Now!" thread was started 5 days ago and is already 15 pages long I am actually wishing him well. Firstly, and mainly, because he at least gives good soundbites, and I have to listen to most of these manager interviews every Saturday. Give me a Pressley or Martindale over Kettlewell and McInnes every day of the week. But also, he scored two cracking goals for Aberdeen in his career, and has said before he grew up as a Dons fan, so he seems like a good guy. Quote
BigAl Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 Will take that. Great draw from a personal perspective. Away to Morton Quote
tom_widdows Posted July 27 Report Posted July 27 Really hoping for a 3pm saturday KO although it might rule the likes if me out of getting a ticket. Be great to see a full house at Cappielow with the open 'terrace' mobbed with dandies. 1 Quote
Jute Posted July 28 Author Report Posted July 28 Vaguely remember Hearts got 3,000 tickets for their Scottish cup game against Morton last year. Would expect us to get something similar. Quote
tlg1903 Posted July 28 Report Posted July 28 I've never been to Cappielow so defo going to try to go Quote

BigAl Posted July 29 Report Posted July 29 I used to hate going to Cappielow back in the day. Certain Andy Ritchie always seemed to manage to turn it on against us. Almost thirteen years since I was last there for a 2-0 win with goals from Vernon & Rae. Same result again will do nicely Quote

tom_widdows Posted July 29 Report Posted July 29 Anyone going should be aware Morton have a pack of teenage 'ultras' who decided to play at being casuals at the train station with Partick fans at new year. They were held back by 3 coppers who essentially told them to stop being wee fannies but it might encourage some of the muppets in the dons support who don't play at being casuals. If I do manage to get a ticket I may drive or if using the train, avoid Cartsdyke station and walk back to Greenock's main one Quote
Jute Posted July 29 Author Report Posted July 29 Suspect that there will be a few more cops there for Aberdeen. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted July 29 Report Posted July 29 They were our bogie team for quite a while. Was 13 years ago the last time we played them? My old man is a Morton fan so I do keep an eye out for them, cannot remember us playing them in recent years. Quote
