  1. Interesting to see McCrorie and Considine played the whole match in central of defence whereas everyone else played 45 minutes. Not sure if that means they'll be playing together against Hacken or if it just highlights the lack of depth in that position where we don't even have a young loon to chuck in for 45 minutes in a bounce game against lower league opposition.
  2. Media are reporting that ex-Celtic striker Tommy Johnson is going to be our new Head of Recruitment. Last I heard of him, he was going to join Henrik Larsson's management team at Southend before pulling out at the last moment, scuppering the whole arrangement. Currently doing the same role at Blackpool for last 2 years. A quick glance at their squad doesn't give much indication if he's any good, although I did notice ex-Dons striker Joe Nuttall is there as is Demetri Mitchell who was on loan at Hearts for a while.
  3. Interesting to see the Sun specifically mentioned the charge relates to his time as a footballer and not his plumbing business. If you told me a Dons right back was caught up in a money laundering scheme, Logan wouldn't be my prime suspect.
  4. I guess you would call it prostitution.
  5. Players are allowed, fans are not.
  6. On the other hand, that means we are now looking to sign a defender that our management team considers not to be as good as Clark Robertson. Failing that, whoever they find sleeping on a bench outside of Atlanta United's reserve team stadium.
  7. What have they done to the pitch? Everyone is slipping all over the place. Surely they haven’t watered it to enable Croatia to play slick passes all over the place?
  8. I don't think any England players got close enough to him.
  9. I always prefer to play home first. Keep a clean sheet at home and you can go into the 2nd leg knowing for every goal you score, they need to score more. Nothing worse than defending a 1 goal lead at home in the 2nd leg. And if you get humped in the 1st leg at home, you can try to change your flights to go to Tenerife instead.
  10. Doesn't seem to be any standout players in their squad although Martin Olsson played at a high level in England and is currently in the Sweden Euro 2020 squad.
  11. If it's Belarus, will we need to travel by land if EU airlines are boycotting their airspace and their airlines are banned from EU airspace? The Lithuanian team looks easiest. Hacken could be tricky, as they will be in the middle of their football season and will be fresher, but currently bottom of the Swedish league.
  12. It was a complete brainfart from Marshall but he played quite well other than that and at least you can be confident he won't do it again. The other options on the bench are not much better really. I'd go same team again but with Adams replacing Dykes, Tierney replacing Cooper and Forrest replacing O'Donnell. Absolutely nailed on that Clarke will shoehorn McGregor into the starting 11 but he doesn't really bring much to the table. No chance Gilmour gets the nod ahead of him. Not overly convinced Nisbet is much more than an average player enjoying a purple patch. Although admittedly I haven't watched him play that much. And may be red tinted glasses but I think McKenna is better than both Hanley and Hendry and would have won the header for their first goal.
  13. "baggy89 has quoted a post of yours from 2007" Jesus, now I know what Philip Schofield feels like every time he opens a newspaper.
  14. Too similar to Chris Maguire and we won't have room for both of them in the squad.
  15. I'd be more annoyed about Patterson if we had any other options at RB. O'Donnell is fucking dire, every bit the player that could only interest Motherwell when available on a free transfer twice in the last 12 months.
  16. There is, but you need to get the police involved...
  17. We need a new reserve team manager then. Hold on, we've already got an experienced reserve team manager on our books, problem solved!
  18. He turns 26 this year and (according to Wikipedia) his playing experience amounts to 18 games in the US 4th tier, 17 games in the US 2nd tier and a solitary substitute appearance for Atlanta first team.
  19. The Sun is linking us with Jackson Irvine. In same article, Martin Boyle has a £500k buyout clause in his contract. Must be worth testing the waters at that kind of money.
  20. Everything about this guy’s background suggests he’s pish. He’s 3rd choice right back in a team that features Jake Mulraney in the first 11. He’s 25 and has played a total of 1 single first team professional matches in his career. Most of his “professional” experience seems to consist of a single season playing for a reserve team managed by one Stephen Glass. So in a way I’m happy to sign him as it will be a very early indicator of what Glass is all about. If this guy signs as a starting RB and is completely out of his depth, we can reasonably infer that Glass is either a terrible judge of player or a stooge for some pan-Atlantic soccer franchise experiment (or both). If he’s actually good then that’s obviously a better outcome.
  21. If a big fee for Ferguson allows us to offer an enticing contract to Campbell from Motherwell, I’d be happy with that.
  22. I had a look on a Rotherham forum the other day, the consensus seemed to be that Robertson was their best defender when fit. Unfortunately “when fit” happens as often as it does for Mikey Devlin for us seemingly and he has a bit of a reputation for being a hypochondriac/fanny.
