Sorry, Al. I just saw your post. I have to say that I really can't get into the A-League. Brisbane Roar are the closest team to me and they are about 600 miles away from me. I really don't find the quality of the fitba all that good as well. Townsville, which is the city up from where I live, used to have a team ( North Queensland Fury ), but they were managed by Ian Ferguson. So there was no way that I was going to follow them....
Ally MacLeod 9
Billy McNeill 2
Alex Ferguson 1
Ian Porterfield 8
Alex Smith and Jocky Scott 3
Willie Miller 7
Roy Aitken 11
Alex Miller 14
Ebbe Skovdahl 10
Steve Paterson 12
Jimmy Calderwood 5
Mark McGhee 13
Craig Brown 6
Derek McInnes 4
I feel sorry for Ian Porterfield. He really was in for a hiding for nothing.
In/out ~ Out
Fuuryboots ~ Watching the game on BeIN Sports.
Pre-Match ~ Chewing my fingernails
After-Match ~ Going to bed
Prediction ~ 1-0 to the Dons. Rooney to score on the 89th min.
Saying goodbye to my mum and dad as I walked on to the plane that was going to take me to Australia was one of the hardest things I ever have done. I really think It was harder for my parents than for myself. I was only 21 at the time, and 22 years later, I'm still in Oz. My dad and my brother told me that I would be lucky to last 6 months....
Cheers for the recommendations.
It's not for everyone, but I find it funny as fuck.

I'm sure Jess only coached. You are right in regards Black being a number two when he left for Metz.... I was a devastated 13 year old when I found out he was moving.
I was just thinking about Strachan being manager of Scotland and It got me thinking about ex-Aberdeen players who ended up managers.
There must be a fair few of them.
Some that come to mind......
Wee Gordon.
Willie Miller.
Alex McLeish.
Mark McGhee.
Billy Stark.
And who would you say out of any ex-player future manager has had the most success?
I read a book a year or so, about Alistair Urquhart, who was interned in a Japanese prisoner of war camp.
I was saddened to see that he past away at the age of 97.
He joined the Gordon Highlanders in Aberdeen at the start of the WW2. The experiences he went through were just shocking. He was only 10 miles away from Nagasaki when they dropped the bomb......
It's well worth a read. It's called " The forgotten Highlander"

Anyone know of some good podcasts?
Does not have to be football based. It can be Music, comedy, books, travel etc, etc, etc.....
I've been having a look myself, but what a lot of shite you have to go through before you find a decent one.
Cheers.
I really think that McInnes has Storie pencilled in for the CM position. It would be great if we had a "marque" player coming in. But, I can't see that happening now.
