  1. That was probably best we have played against Victim FC in a number of years. Yes we lost but we made them work for it rather than our usual meek surrender. As others have said felt we lost our shape when Bryson was brought on for Kennedy which allowed them into the game. Only disappointing thing for me was despite a number of good balls into the box we did not work Foster enough.
  2. Got to think PSG and Real Madrid are in danger of getting picked up under this.
  3. Not sure going with 3 at the back is going to work against Victim FC as they have pace wide and our wing backs could easily be pushed back into a 5-3-2 formation with no width. Might be better to switch back to 4 at the back and 5 in the middle but drop McGeouch to allow us to keep McGinn in behind the striker. Main deserves the start following his performance (against an admittedly shite Hamilton) on Tuesday but can see McInnes bringing Cosgrove back in. Cannot see us getting anything from the game as Victims seem to have stepped it up a gear since the winter break. In Supporters bus as only 1 train from Edinburgh that arrives before kick off Y Supporter bus back to the Capital. 3-0 no dons scorer
  4. Kilmarnock finding form before cup replay beating Tribute Act 2-1 tonight. Elsewhere St Johnstone doing Dons a favour winning 2-1 over 10 man Motherwell.
  5. Thought we played well in the first half and scored 3 good goals. Balls from Considine for 1st and third goals were both inch perfect. Good to see McGinn being played in behind Main as many fans had been calling for. Seemed to work well and hopefully something we will continue with. As others have said it was got to remember it was only Hamilton we were playing but it was pleasing to see us moving the ball quickly without resorting to hoofing it. Second half Hamilton got into the game more. Not sure if the was down to them upping their game, having the wind at their backs, Dons taking their foot of the gas or a combination of the three.
  6. Would expect same team as Saturday with exception of Main replacing Cosgrove as McInnes was pleased with Saturday. That said McGinn maybe rested with Hedges coming in. If I can be arsed going I expect it be a race between the cold and the eye bleedingly brutal football to see which drives me back to the pub first. In (at the moment) Work then train through Away end Train back to capital 1-0 Kennedy
  7. That was dire stuff. No attacking threat whatsoever. Had plenty of the ball but far to slow in moving the ball forward which allowed Kilmarnock to get back into their defensive positions and we were completely unable to break them down. Agree with those who say Campbell was our best player. Substitutions were bizarre to say the least. Only positive is we are still in the cup and Kilmarnock are so bad that we will probably get through the replay. Just not sure I want to put myself through the abysmal shite we will play to do so.
  8. Would expect changes to line up from Wednesday. Surely Gallagher will be dropped for McGinn. Hope we do not return to 3 holding midfielders but can see McInnes reverting to this. We need to start the game on the front foot and attack Kilmarnock from the off but our 3 holding midfielders do not allow us to do this. Logan should come back in for Hernandez who looked well short of match sharpness but that’s not a surprise given he had not played since end of November. Maybe needs a couple of reserve games to get a bit of match sharpness. Pity we withdrew from the reserve league. Have no option but to stick with misfiring Cosgrove up front as we do not have another option now. Failure to prioritise another attacking option when club had clearly decided Main and Wilson were not the answer was criminal. We really need to attack Kilmarnock from the off as if we allow them to put us under pressure or worse score early on the atmosphere will turn ugly quickly. In Pub in town Y Beers in town then family meal 1-0 McGinn
  9. Come on Rico you have seen Taylor’s aimless punts which were just as bad as anything Devlin produced.
  10. No goals in 4 games and no goals from open play in 6. Failure to address the lack of creation in the middle of the park in the January window was criminal.
  11. Hernandez off for Anderson. Assume going to 3 at the back.
  12. McGinn on for Gallagher which is correct decision. Very poor first half.
  13. Ojo McGinn and Logan dropped for Hernandez, Gallagher and Hedges.
  14. Really think we need to drop one of 3 in middle to allow us the extra attacking option we will need to break down a St Johnstone side who will sit in deep. They have managed two 1-1 draws with this approach so far against us. Would agree with team suggested by Elgin other than dropping Logan who played well on Saturday plus I wonder how fit Hernandez will be considering he was only half way through preseason in Norway. Oot Work Flat Flat 1-0 Kennedy.
  15. Same team as last week. Perversely the slow ponderous way they played last week probably suits us against Tribute Act.
  16. Ronald Hernandez signed from Stabaek in Norway. https://mobile.twitter.com/aberdeenfc/status/1223274889513181185?s=12 Right back apparently on 4 year deal.
  17. Should never have been taken back after loan deal as was obviously a waster but was an easy lazy signing for McInnes.
  18. Can we given we just extend his deal to the end of the season there?
  19. Vyner’s loan deal been terminated due to his injury. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/zak-vyners-aberdeen-stay-to-21393865
  20. Cannot see us getting a win playing the way we are at the moment. We need to play the way we did in second half at Pittodrie against them to have any chance but we have not played with that intensity since. Oot Flat Local game probably Edinburgh Uni v Spartans Flat 3-0 no dons scorer
  21. Why did I bother with that. Knew how it would be bad but still went. Why did we have 3 holding midfielders against St fucking Mirren. Ojo should not play against any of the teams outside the top 2 as he offers zero in an attacking sense and slows the team down as soon as he is on the ball. Usually at least 5 touches more than needed. He was not worst player on the field either. I really fear what is going to happen next week.
  22. Against my better judgement will probably head through tomorrow. If Kennedy is fit to play would like to see us going with Hedges and him on either flank and McGinn in the middle behind Cosgrove. Would try Ferguson and McGeough in the middle as no need for a defensive player like Ojo against St Mirren surely. Cash gate for away end tomorrow. In Train through from Capital Away end Train back to Capital. 2-0 Cosgrove and McGinn.
  23. Brutal stuff. We are just a long ball team. Other than McGinn we have zero creation. As someone said Ojo, McGeouch and Ferguson are far to similar. We need another creative option in there. Getting no enjoyment out of watching Dons this season and sadly cannot see it changing.
  24. Wilson supposedly out injured again for tonight. Being described as an injury blow in the press but not sure how an injury to a player who never plays is a blow.
  25. Would like to see Anderson and Cosgrove starting together again. They need a good few games together to see if they can form a partnership. However if McInnes wants to have McGeouch Ferguson and Ojo on the field can see Anderson dropping out. Oot Work Flat Flat 1-1 Cosgrove
