Non promotion of Bonnyrigg who had licence rules changed on them after they had submitted application will save Whitehill from relegation. Fact that Whitehill don’t have lights the reason that Bonnyrigg weren’t promoted is farcical.

Glad this season is over. Most of our games have been a chore to attend and today was no different for large spells. Some of our football was eye bleedingly bad today. We will need to to vastly improve the quality of player in the squad if we are to challenge next season. Ability to pass the ball to a team mate more than 10m away should be a prerequisite. As Manc has said Killie deserve to be third.

Cove won 3-0 today to have a 7-0 aggregate win over the 2 legs. That’s them promoted to league 2 and Berwick Rangers relegated to league 1. Takes the Highland league down to 17 teams. No word on if they will look to go back to 18 teams by inviting applications or if they will run with an odd number of teams.

Cosgrove’s 7 penalties out of that total and the gaps not that big. Big punt in hoping that we get two good seasons from Cosgrove when we only really got him scoring between December and February this season. I don’t think we will get an offer for Cosgrove this summer as he is yet to show he can score consistently and his failure in lower reaches of English pyramid is still to recent.

Fact Rotherham don’t think Ball is worth keeping for league 1 campaign speaks volumes about Ball’s ability or lack of. He is an extremely limited player and not one we should be bring to a club who are looking to challenge at the top end of the league. Would rather we used young players to plug gaps in the squad than journey men like Ball.

I was at the Sunderland v Man United game in 2012 so got to watch the hope building in the United support as the game went on only for it to be crushed right at the end. As a neutral it made great viewing however as others have said on a footballing basis the level of consistency show by both teams in the run in has been unbelievable so this season wins it for me.

Going to go against the grain here and say would not be happy if we signed Ball or Hoban. Hoban is a great player when fit but problem is he is never fit. To injury prone. Ball at his best is a mediocre defensive midfielder who looks out his depth against the better clubs. Not the sort of player a club that is looking to challenge at the top end of the league should be looking to sign.
